[EARLY ACCESS] Torghast: Is It Still Fun?

We've not talked about Torghast in a while, but it's a unique feature and one of the most interesting parts of Shadowlands.
That means it's time for an updated review, and we're in luck: it's pretty damn good!

[EARLY ACCESS] What To Do Before Pre-Patch

Lots of things to do, and just as many to avoid, before Prepatch drops - probably the 29th! Better get to it!

[EARLY ACCESS] Cosmic Spycraft

This is the big one: Espionage and intrigue going back well over 10,000 years.

What do you think about the voiceover in this video?
We're really happy with how it turned out, as well as the quality Nikki could put into a 28-minute long video now we've got John on-board to cover other edits.

Let us know what you think!

Immortals: Fenyx Rising is a terrible name compared to Gods and Monsters. As much as Gods and Monsters is generic, Immortals: Fenyx Rising sounds like a bad movie tie-in or an extremely low budget Gamecube game. I hope it plays a bit more creatively than the title suggests.

Hello Games' are finally getting ready to delve into ambition now that No Man's Sky's horrendous past is just that - the past. I look forward to it, that's for sure!

Man, the Series S really is the worst-kept secret in gaming. You have to wonder what's going on that they haven't announced it - perhaps they want the BIG moment of its reveal to be the price.

Call of Duty makes the leap to $70, but in an extremely Activision-Blizzard way - who's surprised, honestly? Looking forward to Gamescom tonight, though! Very excited to see a wealth of updates on next-gen games.

[EARLY ACCESS] The Key Lore Takeaways From Shadowlands - So Far

Shadowlands has already dropped a LOT of lore knowledge on us and it's not out for months to come. Let's take a run through the most important and most interesting stuff we've been told so far!

It sounds like Sony have a LOT more up their sleeve to show us, Fall Guys keeps its momentum and, uh, Burger King have been abusing Text-To-Speech donations on Twitch.  What a wild time!

505's response to backlash doesn't seem good enough for most, Call of Duty uses a KGB defector's video from the 80s to market their game and Valve are the good guy again. Nice!

[EARLY ACCESS] Player Housing - Just Do It, Blizz

Now that we're on the cusp of Shadowlands, Blizzard will be talking and thinking about what they do next.

This is our pitch: Blizzard, it's time to introduce player housing. Here's our argument, and some of our ideas!

Deathloop's delay is a little frustrating for those excited for a strong console launch, but that game looks like some extra time will do it justice.

And boy, Sega, we've been telling you for years - Give us games on PC in good shape and we'll buy them in droves!

[EARLY ACCESS] The Antagonistic Light

The Light is being set up as a villain, and the possibility has been there since WoW's inception. Let's explore this Light, to see who and what could come to bear on Azeroth.

This Epic vs Apple fight is really getting out of hand - Unreal Engine on the line for professionals on macOS could set some fields back possibly years and millions of dollars. The next week or two should be exciting!

Control's Ultimate Edition being the only way for free next-gen upgrades is a bit grim, but also... Control and both DLCs for $40 on Steam? That sounds like an exceptional deal.
It's sad to hear some more of that detail behind Ragtag - EA really truly messed Visceral up bad.

That Halo delay... ouch. Video should be up shortly discussing, but man it's some grim news for Series X' early prospects. For people who want good Halo though, might be the best thing that's happened to the series in years.

Archaeology - Blizz's Missed Opportunity & What It Could Be

Arch has been left in the dirt for 2 expansions in a row now - soon, we'll need archaeology skill to dig the entire profession up.

Let's talk about what Blizzard COULD do with it beyond Shadowlands, and exactly what they're missing out on.

EA Access on Steam will be a great deal, and I believe marks the first multi-game subscription on Steam - could be the first of many!

Microsoft ditching the 20/20 branding is... a bit awkward, since they never made much use of it. At least they didn't try to force it!

DOOM's new content looks good and Ono leaving Capcom likely means the next Street Fighter will be very different, but the big news today is the Series S' existence now all but confirmed by... a controller packaging leak.

Game news! Lots of games, and they're doing well. Good stuff to hear, although the Aeon Must Die controversy and Apple denying xCloud put a bit of dampener on such a good wave of news. A real shame.

[EARLY ACCESS] Urban Legends

WoW has had countless secrets over its life - those that Blizzard added to the game, and sometimes those that we, the players, invented.

We were young, the world was massive and mysterious... and our imaginations were free. Much too free, perhaps.

Xbox Live Gold is going nowhere, apparently. There's definitely something they're keeping from us though, it just doesn't add up otherwise.  Good to see Nintendo doing so well - nice that Animal Crossing 22m sales might have brought plenty of joy in a rough time.

Spider-Man as an exclusive character harkens back to a much more grim time. Sad to see, but Sony want every advantage they can manage, and this is a good one.

This Blizzard pay stuff, though? Wew. Full video on the channel soon - probably tomorrow!

A Beyond Good & Evil movie sounds like it would make for a great bit of adventuring! Hopefully the game rears its embarrassingly absent head sooner rather than later - it's been over 3 years since its reveal at E3!

The gaming world often looks for validation in money, popularity, and all sorts of traditional ways.
I think Cyberpunk 2077 attracting email phishing scams due to how excited people are for beta is WAY stronger validation than anything else. We have email phishing campaigns on an apparently wide scale - we've made it now, lads.

Sekiro's getting some nice new features! Activision must be getting antsy - I would expect a re-release on next-gen to be a high priority for them, as I can't imagine From have added these because of Stadia.

Good to see a game like Grounded do so well, even when it's on Game Pass. Early Access, £24.99, free on Game Pass and people are STILL buying it. How insane.
