So, first, a mea culpa: I overestimated my ability to get all the art projects I’ve committed to done this week! I finished the Ikky comic much faster than I thought I would when I was working on that one, so I think that made me overconfident. But doing commissions on top of this was maybe a bit much, so I hope you’ll all understand if I’m a little slower with it than I hoped.

That said, page 1 is on its way for sure, and I can definitely see myself getting both it and a sketch-l...

Shiny Gets Inked Script/Thumbnails

Here they are! A little later than I’d like, but thumbnails are pretty often the hardest part for me, so, oh well.

First of all I’m working on adjusting Lewis’s design a bit to look a little more cartoony and less uncanny valley. I’ve ditched the mustache, too, I just don’t like how it fits around a snout, it looks weird to me.

February sketchbook

Another month in the can! Closer to potentially getting vaccinated. Supplies in NYC are super limited and the whole rollout appears to be getting handled very poorly, but I'll get there, I hope.

Here is the character I’ll be opposite in my next comic project! I don’t know if he’s quiiite final yet - I’d like him to look a little toonier in the comic itself? He’s kind of hitting the uncanny valley for me just a little bit at the moment. But this is a good reference image, at least!
