THE HUDSON BOOK, A NEW ARTIFACT FOR DELTA GREEN

This pocket journal was purchased in London in 1930 by Erich Heinrich Goerlitz, a young German student of Archaeology, while he was visiting England. For eight years he kept his private notes in it, most concerning a strange (some said pre- human) language, carefully writing out his ever-growing belief that the world was not only filled with secrets, it was wholly composed of them. It is called the “Hudson Book” because the journal was purchased at the HUDSON’S BAY COMPANY in London...

THE WAY IT WENT DOWN: THE SEA AND TIME

Everyone talks about their lives in stages, whether they know it or not. Oh, that, that was childhood. I was a teenager then. My twenties… Middle-age. My twilight years. I stopped doing that somewhere around my centenary, but not because I chose to, it was because I couldn’t keep track any longer.

Things still loomed large in my mind, of course. The wars. The dissolution of the later days. The raids and the hunters and the close calls. The books and the money and th...

THE TWO-MINUTE HORROR: THE GROWTH

Each Two-Minute Horror is a brief, one-off encounter, mystery, or complication to add depth and strangeness to your Delta Green game. They should be seamlessly integrated into existing operations as an aside, and — by themselves — constitute a short amount of gameplay. Still, clever Handlers might use them to point the Agents towards an entirely new investigation, to reinforce the themes of self-sacrifice and inevitable defeat in Delta Green or to simply show the Agents that they...

PREVIEW: FROM THE DUST, A NEW OPERATION FOR DELTA GREEN

This Delta Green operation concerns the remnants of an evil that has haunted Brooklyn, New York, since its earliest days, and was cut off at its apex in the summer of 1925, just before it brought something through into our world. With this ruin came the destruction of one of Brooklyn’s most storied, odd, and reclusive, residents — Robert Suydam.

A computer hit has brought a Delta Green team to Brooklyn, New York, to investigate a cluster of child disappearances in...

NEW IMAGES FROM IMPOSSIBLE LANDSCAPES

A huge amount of behind-the-scenes work is continuing on IMPOSSIBLE LANDSCAPES. While Shane edits (and I endlessly putter with the text), I'm also waiting great gouts of artwork for the book. I've also engaged someone to work on props and handouts and she's underway in creating the panoply of horrors that will fill out this book.

Overall, this is the most ambitious, strange, self-generating project I've ever been on. It's almost like the book is already there, I just have to maneu...

HOURGLASS, A NEW OPERATION FOR DELTA GREEN BY SHANE IVEY

In an Internet video, already viral, a woman accuses a secretive church leader of outlandish ritual abuse. Suddenly she vanishes, screaming, in front of a crowd of shocked and screaming bystanders.

The Intelligence section cannot find signs that the video was produced with special effects.

The Security section is already suppressing that fact, uploading doctored versions that do show subtle signs of having been generated with special effects, establishing a narrative that it was p...

THE WAY IT WENT DOWN: FARMING

I don’t look at the database no more, I just do my job.

I made that mistake, and what I found there was no good, man. I mean, the money is good but the shit on that list, and the photo match stuff was all like demonic and shit. Like those things from heavy metal album covers. Lots of names of people I didn’t know. Lots of dates. Lots of photos of weird knives and amulets and things. Murder scenes. Two hundred photos of a book called like Vermis or something. Lots of w...

THE WAY IT WENT DOWN: BAPTISM

It all falls apart pretty quickly. Your life, I mean. One moment it’s there. You can see it. More than that, even. It’s everywhere. Something that just is. And then it’s gone. Like it was never there (and more and more I’m certain it wasn’t) and like it is never coming back. Life is word we use to describe the things we imagine go on with us, as well as without us. But I know now, that’s not entirely true. It might not be true at all. I’ve been other p...

THE WAY IT WENT DOWN: LAST (AND/OR) ONLY

No one talks seriously about quantum immortality. When I was in school, it was a glorified thought experiment third years used to freak out their girlfriends. I read the Tegmark paper in 1998, I think, though I don't recall much now. Back when it was an idea, it was a funny thing. Like a hexaflexagon, or a Möbius strip. Something to noodle over while sitting on the bus, or waiting for your burger to come up.

Of course, today, no one talks about anything anymore.

Any outcom...

THE LONELY, A NEW ANTAGONIST FOR DELTA GREEN BY JOHN TYNES

Perhaps loneliness secretes a pheromone. Maybe that’s how you know, how we all know. The poorly dressed man on the bus who stares at a spot just over your head. The monologist in the coffee shop who tells you every detail of how he secured his laptop against surveillance until you hurriedly get up and leave. The woman with the soiled Live Aid t-shirt who walks from the bus stop to the food bank every day at four o’clock. That guy three cubicles over who processes routing requests and has ...

THE SOWERS, A NEW ANTAGONIST FOR DELTA GREEN

An excerpt from John Scott Tynes' upcoming Delta Green book, The Labyrinth

Across America, towns are dying. Factories downsize, mines shut down, and entire ways of life are outdated, outmaneuvered, and outsourced. The tax base crumbles. Libraries sell off their collections and lock their doors. Law enforcement defaults to the county, who can barely afford it. Medical services and ambulances have to come from farther and farther away. The famili...

THE FIRST 249(!) PAGES OF IMPOSSIBLE LANDSCAPES

Holy hell, this book exploded. It was supposed to be a 128 page campaign, and is now something like the size of the Delta Green Handler's Guide (368 pages). Here, find all the sourcebook material, as well as the first two operations, and several "infected" locations.

I. Am. Almost. Finished.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS UNEDITED, AND FEEDBACK ON SUCH THINGS WON'T REALLY HELP AT THIS POINT. IT STILL HAS TO GO THROUGH SHANE AND LISA. THANKS, THOUGH!

∆ Green boxes are NPCs.

∆ Brown boxes are locations.

∆ Blue boxes are clues and books.

∆ Blue arrows are usually "player action" — i.e. I roll a skill or ask to see something.

THE DREAM SYNDICATE, A NEW DG FRIENDLY ORGANIZATION FROM THE LABYRINTH

by John Scott Tynes

This online group of teenagers and young adults has a common interest: sharing descriptions of their dreams. Specifically, they are experiencing recurring, unsettling dreams that feel as if they have supernatural origin and might be visions of the past, present, or future. A typical member has been experiencing such dreams for several weeks or months before seeking answers online but when they do, the Dream Syndicate is there to listen, shar...

THE AMULET OF THE AI-APA (UNNATURAL ARTIFACT)

The amulet of the Ai-Apa (“Silent One”) is a sculpted clay artifact of the Chavin civilization. It depicts two intertwined figures: one human, one a beast with wings. It is easily identifiable as a Central American or South American artifact (successful Archaeology or Anthropology roll), and a critical success will reveal it to be a Chavin artifact. There is no writing on the amulet, as the Chavin did not have a written language...

CHARNEL HOUND

“It was the oddly conventionalised figure of a crouching winged hound, or sphinx with a semi-canine face, and was exquisitely carved in antique Oriental fashion from a small piece of green jade.
