When we talk about the "we shall serve no wine before its time" philosophy of creating books for Delta Green, here's an example.
I've written tens of thousands of words for Delta Green: Operational History (up to the 1980s), a big, horkin' book of history left out of Delta Green: Handler's Guide due to lack of space. New content that fills in gaps about Delta Green's timeline, and more ( just history of Delta Green, mind you, we have no room for much else). Also, in the process, I ma...

Robert Martin Olmstead was born in Toledo, Ohio, in 1906 and led a conventional life until the age of 21. He attended Oberlin College and spent the summer of his third year break researching his family genealogy in New England, where he had relatives in Arkham, Boston, and Newburyport.
In JUL 1927, after visiting a cousin in Newburyport and attempting to travel to Arkham via train, Olmstead stumbled upon the strange, secluded town of Innsmouth. Innsmouth was notorious in the region for ...

We get this question a lot, and it's definitely something which will go in the next edition of Delta Green: how do I roll the Delta Green equivalent of Library Use? It's actually something so simple we never even considered writing much of it out. But the long and the short of it is this:
When researching a subject, roll the appropriate skill
Looking into public records? (Bureaucracy)
Looking into Taxes/Fina...

When DEA agent Michael Dace vanished, of course, the response from the agency was significant. He was listed as on vacation, but even a cursory examination of his spending and mobile internet usage revealed he was nowhere near where he said he was supposed to be (Merrick, Long Island, New York), when he disappeared. Or on vacation; from his point of view, at least.
Day one after his vacation return date, he doesn't come in. Day two. Day three. It wasn't until the Monday after that someo...

THOU SHALT EMBRACE ATMOSPHERE
The world of Delta Green is our own...except... The Agents are among those few that have even the vaguest inkling of what is really going on. That secret horror should permeate everywhere in the game. This atmosphere: cosmic horror and government conspiracy, should be the backdrop for everything that comes after.
THOU SHALT FOSTER TENSION AND PARANOIA
This arrives by throwing observations, questions and even answers...

Years of playing the Delta Green RPG rules have led me to adopt the following in my games (note, this is a modification of how Lethality rolls are resolved, it doesn't much change the underlying mechanics). We created Lethality to streamline the otherwise tedious task of rolling endless damage dice, but over the years I've realized it can be further streamlined...
Usually, when a weapon has a Lethality rating (like a Hand Grenade with Lethality 15%), you roll the Skill to hit, ...

The things we cannot change, change us.
This is what my father taught me, though I had reason to doubt it. He said, we smash the world, or we are smashed to bits across it, like an icicle thrown upon the pavement. My father is gone now. Smashed. I knew it was coming, and likewise knew there was nothing to be done about it. Such is life.
I was his Anna. His world. And when the world was good to us, we did not change, much. Despite the turmoil (at first) and then the bother an...

Hey guys, just thought I'd take a few to give you some insight on the dark machinations behind the scenes of Arc Dream Publishing and all things Delta Green. Well maybe not dark machinations. More like fun shenanigans.
First off, 2023-2024 has been the biggest year for Delta Green ever. Several of our books have gone to reprint (IMPOSSIBLE LANDSCAPES and the core rules come to mind, but others too!) I can't stress how incredible this is. In the 1990s, we would struggle to...

Since the last article on the cancelled 2001 Delta Green video game garnered significant interest, John Tynes was nice enough to dead drop a bunch of old materials from it for you guys to look at, including:
-Game promo
-Final concept storyboard Powerpoint
-Final concept presentation Powerpoint
-And a few videos
Keep in mind, it WAS 2001, and computer graphics still had a long way to go!

"In the summer of 1967 an oddball character wandered into that restaurant. He was tall
and awkward, dressed in an ill-fitting black suit that seemed out of style. His chin came
to a sharp point and his eyes bulged slightly like "thyroid eyes." He sat down in a booth
and gestured to the waitress with his long, tapering fingers.
'Something to eat,' he mumbled. The waitress handed him a menu. He stared at it

The secret to the ghouls' design is this: a goat head, dog teeth, Aye-Aye fingers, Polar Bear fur and colouring, and searching for "butchered human meat" (DO NOT DO THIS LAST PART IF YOU ARE SQUEAMISH).
I knew I was on the "big list of questionable internet searches" but now I'm certain I'm at the TOP of that list.

Someone posted about this on Reddit, so I figured I could share the presentation kit produced for Flying Lab's 2000 attempt to make an X-Com style Delta Green video game 24 years ago. (Keep in mind in 2000, these graphics were pretty darn good...it was a LONG time ago).
Flying Lab were wonderful partners with great ideas, and the game was a fantastic mix of X-Com and distorted sanity mechanics (kind of like Eternal Darkness). But alas, no publishers bit, and the project was canc...

This took me a LONG time to paint. It's a huge image, and it seemed like I would never escape it. But here it is. Zoom it. Look around. See what you can spot.
It depicts the 1955 rampage of Delta Green agent Daniel Freis on the Delta Green archives, which all but destroyed the early history of the group.
"On 13 JAN 1955, Daniel Freis, one of the original Black Chamber cryptographers who had translated The Book of Dagon—and Delta Green’s most gifted researcher—suffered ...

It was made with oils, palette knife, chalk, pencil and some airbrush...for some of the reflections (all digitally on ARTRAGE — a wonderful natural medium art program that simulates all main art mediums with startling fidelity).
