I must say, I'm happy with this one. The orca at the end is quite nice, if I do say so myself (and I do!). I also am happy about how the SFX and the ocean transition worked out. The transition to the ocean was what kept this on hold for a couple of days while I brainstormed.

The long version:
The funny thing about when I digital ink is that I get an odd fatigue. It's half physical and half mental. After a while, I have trouble with the disconnect from drawing at 90º to the monitor. I just can't cope so, I have to stop.
I had planned on working on two things tonight. This, and the next page of Sea Change. I'd finished Haz'l here and had finished the victim and was working on the mermaid when it hit and I had to stop. I'll try to get on it tomorr...

Now, I will absolutely be working on a denouement for this soon. Because it involves a LOT of wifwolves, it will take a while and I wanted to finish at least the TF first.
I'm picturing a soft of coffee klatch of wifwolves...
Anyway. Cartoony things are harder to do than might be supposed. My big question is, does the text add to this or was it better when we couldn't hear the thoughts behind those mostly-vacant eyes..?

Oh. My. God.
This was a BEAR and no mistake. Two days to get it. So much erasing that the paper was very reluctant to take the ink properly.
First the car. Curves are hard.
Secondly, the girl. Deciding on her pose took forever, then making it work was hard as was getting that Farrah Fawcett hairdo on such a small figure.

Perhaps a bit bimbo-ish (and perhaps TF'd) here is a young wifwolf with her family's new 1955 Chevy Nomad!
It's the first sitting-down-at-the-desk ink drawing in way too long. Neck hurts and doing the car took so long, I was too beat to render it. Haven't drawn many cars since childhood and I think the last adult ones were the Gadget Hackwrench with cars a couple of years ago.

What's my challenge this year? Cool old cars and anthro animals!
I'm not a fan of many modern cars so, this is an opportunity to draw old cars and some fun outfits.
Where do YOU come in? Choose a vehicle (it will then be crossed out) and pick an animal to anthropomorphize. You can also pick a gender, outfit and/or situation, if you'd like.
This will be a BIG challenge so, I don't fully believe I'll do all 30 but, I'll shoot for at least 15!

So... THIS happened.
Was sketching on the deck early this AM and drew a sheep boi. Then a different pose. Then a third. THEN, I got it into my head to do a wolf dominatrix. And, as i inked, she became the wife of the sheep-obsessed Baron Von Mondsheintal.
I did this relatively quickly as I hadn't planned on doing a big thing. But, I really started having fun with my new digital brushes ...

Was getting ready to ink the next pages and decided to look for new brushes. Found some nice comic-style brushes and thought I'd try them out. Still getting the hang of them but, they may work for some applications. The one I chose tonight is a sort of brush pen.
