I did this almost entirely on the Surface Book from my boyfriend! For those who don't know: I usually work on desktop PC with a Wacom Intuos - so drawing on a screen tablet it super new for me!

Don’t get me wrong; it started fantastic! I forgot how much easier other characters than Dabi are and I was done with over half the linework pretty fast… but then I somewhat lost motivation to draw...

Ok so, there’s a bit of unpacking to do here!
Maybe you can tell, but this was very much a super relaxing and experimental piece for me. The messier the sketches are, the more I draw just by feeling if that makes sense. I tend to hold the pen super lose and just sketch how I feel. At other times, my sketches are a bit more strategical and thoughtful. This doesn’t mean that one is better or worse than the other, it’s just a matter of how I feel while doing it.

Hello hello – yes super late, but I did it! I actually stuck with my self-set-schedule and I am super happy! Maybe this seems a bit forced to you, but I am greatful what social media had done to me and my art, considering scheduling. It’s so much easier to just skip days or even weeks if it’s “just for you”. But when there are people patiently waiting for your work, you’re somewhat held accountable and I love that, even if it stresses me out sometimes haha!

It might differ a bit from the original, because I had to extend the effect layers, but it's barely noticeable!

People on Instagram said that they'd like a sunset atmosphere for Dabis Dance and I absolutely feel the same. It'd show how much time passed since the heros attacked and would give it a bit more dramatic look to it....

Finally! Let me tell you, I worked on this the entire week...
This time even w/o a background?! I really struggled... It was like a yawn that just wouln't come out - but let's just say it's a photoshoot-setting. I mean... Dabi is pretty detailed and completely rendered - so the most important thing is there!
