It's been quiet while the holidays came and sprayed around. But I've been working ahead. I got 7 pages (including these two) inked. And those 7 pages effectively closes Our Emerson's part in this story. Everyone's Emerson.

Time to light the fuse that will set off the end. This will be a two page update for the website next thursday.

Beyond any re-writing, I have the ending planned and written out. I've been pencilling all day and putting to bed Emerson's side of this whole story. Which has been this whole past 60-some-odd pages, really. They became a bigger part of the story as it kept going. I wanted to give them at least a nice going away bit.

This past week I really sat down and figured out how much is left of this story, and I believe it will be about 30 pages left, counting this. I don't have it down exact, cus as I was writing, I went and added one more little arc and moment that felt necessary for the end. but I have the blueprints more finalized and now I'm just gettin' it done. excited, trying not to push and sacrifice much, but I've always been impatient. and smash bros/katamari is tomorrow!! what's a boy to do!!!

We're getting closer to a point where I will be forgoing website updates to finish the ending in its entirety (y'all here on patreon will still get the good shit). 2 pages a week won't cut it, gotta give 'em the whole thing in anyone is still website searching. There I go again. Doin' an extra page for this week. the last two will go together, cus it just works better as a singular thought (whereas the first page alone is wild and ends with something odd and new happening). And it's nice to not keep drawing the same area/backgrounds all the time.

next step after inking is flatting! Just like before, slapping down some basics then going back to touch them up and color the lineart here and there too. It's a good way to just get started. That's all it takes most of the time. Just a push.

question hound doin' things

for a commission, a company who likes the dog asked if I would do some in-house little drawings for in-company emails or something. Nothing serious, just for play-play. It was an old commission that kind of got grand-fathered in when I said to myself I should focus on hiagb, but then someone went and bought all these video games and well, if all I gots to do is draw this cartoon dog, then I'll say ten hail marys and move on with my life.

Still need a touch up of the colors and the line art coloring. But I didn't want to leave you hanging too much after the response from the last page. I've begun flatting pages more regularly in a traditional mouse and keyboard set up. Just makes that process less of a hassle without poppin a pen around, just pointin' and choosin'. Old Friend (hiagb)

FONALLY. AFTURD ALL THISE week. I'm back on my usual bullshit and staring this comic down the barrel. Hunkering down for the winter in this weird shack I've lived in for 8 years and will finish this beast come hell or snow days. Thank you, as always, for stickin around. I couldn't do what I do without y'alls support in however big or small a way. I get lost in the product so much, sometimes I forget to come up for air. Nice to breathe, once and awhile.

Wristchapel & Rotten Luck (hiagb)

It's just nice luck and a good opportunity that I get to do this part around Halloween (or the week before). Which is fun! I never plan things out too far in advance, but I will always jump on an opportunity to halloween it up more than I already do on a semi-regular basis. Nothing in particular, just a weird spooky hell-page for a weird hell-month.

Might see a small slow down in pages, as we'll be moving for certain out of this office. We got til the end of next week to get out. Not a big ask...
