Maps Monday - Hill Giant Encampment

Surviving this far into the camp and not turning around may be a poor decision. Tents line the area, giving homes to the handful of giants that inhabit this camp. Boulders are set at the ready however, giving the giants a vantage point to hurl them down the incline towards suspected intruders. Can you sneak far enough in without being noticed? Or will an assault begin before you even have a chance?

Don't forget the vigilant creatures that the giants have raised. Who needs a vulture whe...

Monster Fridays - Hulebjørn

While humans domesticated dogs as hunting companions, these hill giants have adapted something quite different. Inside their pens, are the massive Hulebjørn, which resemble a grizzly bear-- only significantly larger. These beasts border on monstrosity, possessing incredibly devastating attacks and a nose for blood. When they find prey, they can charge with incredible force towards them, and once targeted they can track and find anything that's lost blood.

Maps Monday - Hill Giant Encampment

The Dwarves of Spar, led by Bonumli, have been having issues with the Hill Giants for some time. They're far more organized than they have ever been, showing increased tactics and working as more than a singular unit. This is not something Hill Giant level intelligence typically yields. However-- if there was something higher in the Ordning, it was possible that they could have organized the giants. While the Dwarves were aware of a camp of Hill Giants, efforts to figure out what laid inside ...

Monster Fridays - Cursed Grimlock

Based on the monster Grimlock, the Cursed Grimlock lurks in many tunnels and can be a detriment to any Dwarven civilization. The Cursed Grimlock is considerably more dangerous than the regular, though appearing to be similar. Infestations need to be routed before they establish themselves in close proximity to Dwarven cities.

We Borrowed Wednesdays - Fort Ironstone

What Dwarven city isn't complete without a fort for the party to stay and a place to meet to discuss battle plans. Here the dwarves will introduce the party to what is going on outside the walls. Hill Giants are far more organized than they should be-- though they're aware of where the giants are coming from... just there are things that seem off about that area.

Disclaimer: Maps was modeled after one I saw on Reddit at the time: https://www.reddit.com/r/inkarnate/comments/ag3wo8/the_dwarven_underground_city_of_stonehold/?rdt=53130

Monster Fridays - Siege Hill Giant

Dwarves are masters of stone, which is why it takes a Hill Giant capable enough to destroy stone to break into their fortified cities. Enter the Siege Hill Giant, covered with wooden armor and wielding a siege hammer, this giant is more than up to the task of crushing Dwarven defenses. Bulky and strong, in enough numbers they can easily overwhelm even the strongest build walls-- unless something else is there to stop them.

Maps Monday - Dwarven City of Spar

To the East of the massive city of Garnet lays the foothills of the Garnet Mountains. Here is where the Mountain Dwarves settled, many displaced during the Dwarf Gate Wars when the doors to Thorbadin were sealed forever. A gateway marks a friendly entrance to the mountains, a well traveled road of trade between Garnet and Spar; though things may not be as inviting at the city itself. On the walls, armed Dwarves remain at the ready to attack intruders. Even for their allied city of Garnet, Spa...

Monster Fridays - Yearly and the Clockwork Tortoise

Upon arriving at the docks, thunder echoes overhead as a flash of lightning erupts into the ground. As the smoke clears, a massive Tortle rises, his threatening voice echoing out from the respirator on his face. At his side, two massive clockwork tortoises outfitted with canons upon their back. Their only purpose-- make it easier for Yearly to take down the intruders on Beikeshen Island.

We Borrowed Wednesdays - Beikeshen Bonus Maps

Sometimes I don't have time to make maps for every leg of my campaign and I have to scramble to pick something up that matches the motif of my games. For Beikeshen, there are two maps here, one for the first level of the Temple and another for the Wizard Tower.

Maps Monday - Beikeshen Island - Of Docks and Basements

The safest place to land are the old docks on Beikeshen Island which were likely used by the last to leave the island. Still in a state they are semi-safe to use, it's just a matter of making your way onto the island-- but something already lurks. A crack of lightning disturbs the skies as a shadowy figure looms before you.

For those that survive, braving the island's mysteries, there is the Temple of Beikeshen which lays on the highest point of the island. Do you dare travel inside th...

Maps Monday - Beikeshen Island

Legend tells that when the cataclysm rocked Krynn, a ship was struck by such powerful saves that its hull was compromised and began to sink. Praying for help, the people on the ship were answered from an unusual source as a massive dragon turtle, known as the lesser god Beikeshen, grabbed a hold of the ocean floor and dragged a chunk up to create an island for the survivors on The Lanton. Claw marks from Beikeshen can be seen on the Northern coast still and those who survived the sinking ship...

Theggex's Birth: Making their way down the stairs finally, as the group entered the room they felt a chilling aura engulf them, sending shivers down their spines. The atmosphere was suffused with an otherworldly darkness with a pungent scent of decay hanging in the air. The room was well-lit by the pulsing runes engraved onto the tiles in the floor, giving them marks of anti-magic. Towards the back of the room was an imposing desk made of blackened wood, standing as a fo...

Monster Fridays - Displace Zombie

They came from nowhere-- stepping out from the darkness and surrounding their prey! Yet something is off, it seems that some of these creatures may be nothing more than illusions. Still, the terrifying tentacles that stem from their backs are formidable and they seem able to move through shadows and avoid damage as if by second nature. One thing they possess however-- a hunger, for anything injured.

Maps Monday - Displacer Zombie

It's chilling here-- an aura of darkness hangs on this room. Blackened dead trees scatter your view while rocks and rough dirt sprawl at your feet. A low hum continues to echo in this room however. Something is there-- something is hidden from your sight. It won't be long as you hear a deep guttural growl, signaling that an ambush is already underway. Whatever is here, it is a predator.

Monster Fridays - Chitin Zombie

They were in the ground! Unholy monstrosities, humanoid remains fused with Umber Hulk and Ankheg parts to create a creature with devastating attacks and a hard chitin armor that can turn even magical blades. What's worse is that they can sense movement through the ground, pinpoint their attack, and deal damage back to would be melee attackers.

Maps Monday - Chitin Zombie

A baron room, the ground thrown into upheaval, with the scent of death hanging in the air. Tucked in the corners of the room are bones, shattered, stripped clean of flesh with long scratches into the pieces that are whole. This is a disturbing sight, void of places to hide, so where are the creatures you need to face?

Monster Fridays - Chromatic Zombie

What terrifying, chromatic skinned undead is this you might ask? With the Flail Snail positioned outside, this creature has emerged from the crystals inside the room. Exuding a horrible anti-magic aura, being struck by this creature's attacks could mean suppressing your magic. Beyond that it carries resistances to nearly all forms of damage and can even absorb the power of a spell inflicted upon itself. Steering clear of this creature is paramount, but in such a tiny room this twisted fusion ...

Maps Monday - Theggex Realm - Chromatic Zombie

Another rather small cave system traps you, locked in this rather lush looking landscape with soft grass at your feet and the fragrance of budding trees nearby. The most interesting thing however are the massive crystals that grow in this cave. Beautiful and awe-inspiring, though-- upon touching them, you can feel the magic within you suppressed... and something moves inside.

Monster Fridays - Shadow Zombie

What happens when you cross a no longer breathing humanoid with the essence of a shadow? A terrifying creature that hungers for victims and can drain the strength from their bodies. Being trapped in a small enclosed space with one of these creatures is terrifying to say the least, if not outright deadly if they can touch you.
