Hola peeps, we're back. I was going to post last night, but we suffered a power outage. I guess everybody switching their air conditioners on at once was just a bit too much for the local power grid... anyway. Up next, for stardust, It's the next stage of the character sheet he's having me do. I started laying out the pieces, and I was going to start adding color to it until I realized that the one piece of color reference I have doesn't include any of the design changes I was asked to make, so I'm not sure what color scheme to use now. 

Dude, send me a color scheme. I can't go forward until I know what I'm supposed to do here.

Hello folks... welcome to this year's episode of "February doesn't have enough f*ng days in it." It's been a rough month for me all around, for reasons which some of you know about. Anyway... I did manage to get a few things done. So let's start in on them.

Title Screen

The other thing, which I already mentioned, is that after lots of planning and tweaking, Zero Day finally has a title screen and menu. And here's a look at that.

Dolled Up

After reading up on the intricacies of renpy character code, I took my previously single-image character graphics, and started breaking them up into layers. "Nude" body blank, various eyebrow expressions, various eye expressions, various mouths.... and of course, various outfits (including various naughty bits). 

The end result of this is that I can now program different outfits and facial expressions in, based on a set of small graphical elements, rather than needing a full-body c...

More Aliens

Another alien design for Zero Day's big observation deck crowd scene. I don't have a name for this race yet, but I'm toying with the idea of her being something akin to a nun, from a religious sect that worships a goddess of carnal pleasure. (not that this will be story relevant) 

She's a big gal. Roughly eight or nine feet tall. 

And yes, those are penetratable nippleslits. That seemed like a nicely alien detail to add.

Tellaran

And here's 2 of 2... this is a Tellaran. This is actually based on an old, old seriously old drawing of mine from before the dawn of time, during the dark ages of pencils on copier paper. I may go digging into my filing cabinet to see if I can find an other old alien designs I can borrow from younger me.

I didn't actually have a race name for this one, so I made Tellaran up on the spot.
