Project Oasis: player character roughs

The first step to any project aside from outlining is rough drafts! These are the roughs for the player character of the game: they live in a world populated by semi-anthro animals partly because I thought it'd be fun and partly because I've always wanted a game where you play as a cat. uwu

Portfolio Project: Oasis

Heyoooo! So while I was on my break I did a lot of thinkin' and figured that I should really get a portfolio going, a new one, to better represent my artwork in its current state.

I love freelancing and doing commissions, but I'd like to add industry freelancing to my arsenal as well, however small that might be. Thus the need for a portfolio!

Why am I tellin' ya'll this? Well, it's because I've outlined the project and will begin work on it soon, and I'll be posting WIPs of here ...

Sheik and Paya headcanon

Tetra concept

Someone mentioned Tetra on my Tumblr and a bit of research later, I decided to draw her and see if I could fit her into my headcanon. In the current timeline, she's still a pirate, but not just any pirate... the Pirate Queen! I don't think she'd be a traditional pirate... more of a "polite, charming thief" as it were. Impa concept

 I was asked about my headcanon version of Impa so I drew her up! This time the headcanon isn't all that long (yet) so here it be!

This incarnation of Impa is a variety of things: wisened Elder of her village, was a senior Knight of the royal family, and Sheik’s grandmother. She was quite the warrior in her young age and even in her elder years, she’s a force to reckon with; She helps train the young Sheikah of her village aspiring to pledge to the crown, and often runs circles...

Ganondorf Portrait

The second drawing I did to accompany that headcanon I did for Gandondorf, of which I posted earlier. I figured I should go ahead and post this because I'm actually pretty happy with it! Overall concept remained the same though I tweaked the proportions and pose a bit for  the final version. I had a lot of fun working on it! uwu

Twilight is Best Pony (button test)

The tests I did for a series of buttons I wanna make. The "Best Pony" series! Given half of the conventions I'm going to are pony-centric, it's about time I dust off those horsey chops.

rough sketches

A quick peek into what I usually do whenever I draw! I don't really do much fully traditional art anymore but I always sketch in my sketchbook. I use my sketchbook basically as a brainstorming source: While I prefer working digital, going back to good ol' pen and paper really helps me get a feel of what I want, especially because I can't backspace or erase (I always draw with pens).

Commission: quiet fun

Another minipaint from the Valentine's Day commission sale, this one for Mimiero on DA!

Whenever I make a piece I try to capture a specific feeling; sometimes I don't really know how to put that feeling to just one specific emotion, if it is an emotion to begin with anyhow. But, it's there and whatever it is, I try to make it at the very least tangible in some shape or form.

My design for Bowsette was met with unexpected results and I've gotten a lot of requests for more of her, so here's a bit of that "more!" A sneak peek of a small storyboard/comic thingy I'm workin' on. It's gonna be rough and simple so nothing too fancy, but I got an idea where Wendy doubts herself and auntie Bowsette reassures her of that doubt. They gotta look out for each other, since they're the only girls in the entire clan! <:

Koopas are masters of sass

Bowsette teasing her brother for one thing or another. He loves little sis but she can be quite troublesome to be around. A doodle I did to accompany that concept sketch I posted earlier. It's partly to show off the siblings' differences, partly to examine how their relationship would operate. I'd imagine that they get along very well and are close, but even then they like to annoy the ever loving hell outta each other. The bestest friends, these two. uwu

Bowsette concept

A silly idea came to me last night in the form of Bowsette. But instead of her being a transformed Bowser, I thought of the idea that Bowsette was an entirely separate being in the form of Bowser's baby sister. This is the design I came up with! Made her more top-heavy to contrast Bowser's more bottom-heavy form, also to imply she's faster while he's stronger.

Even still she's just as rough and tough as big bro and takes no-ones shit. I had a lot of fun with it! <:
