hi!
here's the project file for the Billboard/Mont Duamel-esque piece I made for kumo.productions™ which you can listen to here.
note that you will get a warning saying that a lot of the media files are missing, but that is intentional and should be able to play the project regardless as long as you keep all the frozen tracks in its initial state.

hi!
here are the audio files + stems for my recent release - 'a visit to wintry shiribetsu' EP for Zurich's 'Green Music' content.
The songs will be up on streaming sometime next month, so here's the early bird access for now!
Feel free to download the songs for listening on your local device / sample the stems etc. if you'd like!
(artwork will be updated once ready!)

hi!
sorry for the last minute update, but thank you all for a great 2024!
here are the project files for ’a visit to wintry shiribetsu’ EP, which is a batch of songs I wrote as a sequel for Zurich's Green Music project.
stems for two of the songs (snowmelt, across the ice) and audio files are included as well! (it is a big zip file, sorry for that)
as always, no...

hi!
here's an idea that sort of needs further developing, but would probably be an interesting concept - which is the 'chord rack' - a drum rack format midi effect that instead triggers midi chords.
to give a bit of a background story, I had the idea of this when preparing for a live show, which had a sequence of chord progressions I could not play live on the keyboard (because I can't play the keyboard :( ).
inside the rack is a stack of individual chord MIDI effec...

hi!
below is the project file for the demo tune I posted in the previous post!
inspired by the recent floating points tracks, the use of the Ableton Analog instrument paired with modulation to imitate the octave jumps of the Yamaha CS synths (famously used by floating points) might be one of the highlights of this project file (if that's a sort of sound you're into)
note that the proj...

hi!
here's a little demo dance tune I made from last month, which initially came from a short loop on the Model:Cycles.
Feel free to download and listen on local devices / play in your DJ sets!
BPM is 132, key is D# minor.
stems are also available below so you're welcome to use them in your creations if you wish!

The updated Chord device in Live 12 has improved by miles with the new semitone feature introduced in conjunction with the project key feature, so here's an idea and video on how I came up with utilizing the LFO Eight device and Chord/Scale device for generating chord progressions.
It can hopefully come in handy when you're out of ideas on writing chord progressions, or want to explore some chord inversions but don't know exactly what to do.
Also, I've attached some...

hi!
I've always had this problem with the LFO device in ableton, which is that there's only one oscillator accessible from a single instance of the device.
Meaning that if I wanted to modulate a parameter with a sine wave, another with a saw wave, and another with a random wave, I would've had to open three instances of LFO.
So I've sort of come up with a solution which is this device - LFO Eight. As the name suggests, this device has 8 mapping slots ...

hi!
here's the project file for my latest remix I did for the band Blumepopo !
There weren't much references for this remix, other than the idea of wanting to do a polyrhythmic/ sort-of-math rock approach, hence the bit at 0:47~
Also I was aware of the other remixers on the album (quoree, 是 (ze), nu_imi ) and that they would also take a similar folktronica/organic electronic approach t...

apologies once again for the lack of updates for this month too, the PAS TASTA album is in the final stages and thus have been quite occupied with it but that is coming near the end too (hooray)
here's another project file of jingles I did for a YouTube project back a few years ago!
I recently came back to it to retrieve some samples. then realizing that the arrangement and variety of sounds I made for this project was pretty cool and worth sharing (at lea...

here's the documented process of the 2nd demo (I usually get asked to make 2 or 3 demos) that didn't get accepted as the final version!
This one is mostly unedited because 1. I didn't have time to edit it... and 2. there wasn't much to cover anyway as it got abandoned early on (didn't get accepted),
so I'd recommend watching the video from the 2024-08-31 10:02:17 +0000 UTC

here's a video of me making a piece from scratch for a sync (advertisement) work I did recently!
I made 2 demos (version A and B), and this video features the process of version A which was the accepted version.
the documented part was around 5 hours total (+ an extra maybe around 5~10 I couldn't record) and I figured that's too long to watch so I've shrunk it down to about 30 minutes (which is still kinda long but...)
Also , the last bits couldn't be documented so...

hi!
bit of a small one but here's the project for the summit edit I made for fuji rock!
I don't think I've used any external plugins apart from some mixing plugins (pro-mb, pro-l) so most of the processing should be visible straight out of the box.
If you don't have pro-l, just swap it out for a standard ableton limiter. (I had to do a +10 gain on the limiter for the newly added parts because I suck at mixing :( haha)
works with ableton live 12+ !

here's a batch of prophet-6 samples I've recorded for various songs that I thought might be useful for you to explore too.
the audio above is an example of what's included (most of the samples aren't this long)
the gear used for these are mostly just the prophet-6 and the MOOD mkII (the glitchy pitched effects you hear in some files are from the MOOD)
also the bpm on the file names may be slightly inaccurate so sorry in advance if they don...

hi!
I’ve made a few tweaks to some of my devices so here's an overview:
sequence on trigger 16
I've added a new 'equal interval randomization' feature which allows each step to be divided and fixed to specified intervals, whose controls are located at the top section of the sequencer UI. the video attached briefly goes over the feature.
MOOD clock operator
the clock now works with two, three or four octaves which ...

I'm at this point where I'm showing you all the project file for my unreleased songs which probably isn't the smartest thing to do lol, but I'm kinda running late on phritz releases due to various surrounding issues (mainly distribution),
anyhow, here's the project file for the unreleased song I put up on the previous post called 'oceanwaves', a fairly lengthy, bonobo/o'flynn/etc. inspired tune that's relatively focused on the rhythmic elements and flow.

hi!
life has been quite hectic with PAS TASTA so apologies for the lack of updates on music production related topics, but here are a few indie pop-ish demos I've been saving for a new project that I'm (probably) calling 'tiny pool centennial'
while still needing to write a lot of lyrics and polish the overall production, here are some of the better demos that have a nice core idea (at least to me) that I thought are worth sharing.
might have shared some of these song...

here's an orchestral project for an ad sync thing I did a while ago, with client references of bonobo / floating points
I'd say the takeaway from this project is, it's ok to use a bunch of presets if it sounds cool.
most of the sounds in this project are Kontakt presets (slate + ash Landforms, Cycles, Choreographs (yes they are quite pricey)) and orchestral presets such as BBC symphony orchestr...

here's a mostly uncut video of me trying to make a folktronica/ambient song from scratch!
+showing the idea of how using a guide melody for audio chops can help improve the cohesiveness or catchiness of your songs! (which is the key element of what I think separates a very good folktronica song and an ok-one)
the piano featured in the project btw is Ockpii's "Woodland Grand Piano" (Kontakt Library), highly recommend!
