sorry for missing last week, spring semester is coming to an end and i've had to do some stuff outside music, hopefully i'll have time to update more this coming summer!

here's an updated version of the look at the sky cover vip thing i teased a while ago on twitter! 

For now i have no plans of making it a full 3 min song because i simply have no idea what to do beyond this, but who knows, i might finish it

'Hakai (meaning "destruction" in japanese) .amxd'  is a weird audio effect device that 'destroys' your signal in various ways. it comes equipped with a frequency shifter + saturator + resonant filter + limiter + L/R + M/S mixer (in order) 

it's very basic in terms of programming (because i'm still new to max) but i thought it sounds unique and worth sharing so here it is!

2021 drums (pt1)

hi!

here's a batch of drum samples i've been using in my most recent productions (unreleased songs)  

some are recorded stuff (my cajon) and others are significantly modified samples from elsewhere 

you might recognize some sounds from those wips i shared a few days ago.

it's pretty much indie drums but i'm sure these sounds can be used for any genre!

i'd love to hear what you make from these!

samples! - modular 808s and 2020 kicks

hi! :)

today i have a few modular 808 sub basses + a batch of punchy kicks i made in 2020!

the modular subs were made with my trust pittsburgh modular sv-1b + external processing (decapitator + Ableton saturator + fabfilter saturn 2, gain at around 88hz - 198hz → then EQ carved at around 225hz and 590 hz, these frequencies tend to make subs muddy (eq screenshot attached for reference))

today i have a variety of analog-ish samples, what i call "nibbles" because I don't know what else to call them :| 

they're basically short loops/fx samples to use to add some character, or fill up the spectrum of your mix!

most sounds were made using Arturia V Collection synths + Soundtoys plugins (Echoboy, Crystallizer)

hi everyone :)

today i have 4 violin jams - audio samples of me freestyle playing my violin on the spot!

traditional contextual string music (like classical music) is nice to listen to but can be a bit unappealing to mess with when you're producing and want to go experimental (or at least that's how i feel sometimes) 

so here i have 4 variations of me playing fairly random notes on my violin, without any sheet music or midi or anything to guide me,...

i recorded some guitar harmonics (i think that's what they're called) on my acoustic guitar today, and i thought i'd share them with you!

i've organized them into a sample instrument for my tier 1 peeps, but you can make them yourself by simply loading these samples into a sampler instrument of your choice, 

or you can simply use them as one-shot samples!
