Please consider that this is still an alpha version. It works pretty well and is very stable on my rather meaty laptop (RTX 3080, Ryzen 7, 32 GB Ram), but I can't say if it works well for you. In this TouchDesigner tutorial we're looking at how to use the texture instancing technique on a Mac, as the usual approach does not work. We're using the Texture 3D in combination with a Switch and PBR Material.

In this tutorial we create a game based on the Bullet Solver (Physics Simulation), Instancing and some logic in CHOPs. The basic idea is to create a platform with a generative labyrinth on top, through which a sphere (the player) is rolling on the quest to collect coins and thereby points.

Here's little extra file for you. What this does is randomly play different parts of a video based on the input, which I'd recommend to be either an audio channel (e.g. kick) or a beat, should be a value between 0 and 1.

Here's a little .tox for you which makes it easy to set a timeline to a certain length. Some examples when to use this:
- You want to make your timeline 35 seconds long
- You want you timeline to be exactly 1h, 24min and 40 sec long
- You want your timeline to be as long as an audio track

In this video I explain how to set up your visual to work well with algorhythm.
What you basically need:
– A Base COMP containing the visual
– One Null TOP calle 'bg' at the very end of your network
– Optionally a Null TOP called 'thumb' for having a thumbnail (lock this op)
– Custom Parameters (so far only Float and Pulse)
– Save the file anywhere and name it the way youwish to have it appear in algorhythm

Hi Explorers and Voyagers,
here's a little tool/effect with which you can convert any input texture to strings using TOP instancing. This is nothing groundbrakingly new (check out pixelRelocator in the Palette), but it automatically adapts the resolution and you get some extra features.
Make sure your input isn't too low.
