A Little Something Extra

Practicing being comfortable with something leaning a little sexier again, and finding that that was actually way harder than it used to be, even though Emily makes it so easy. I just feel so creatively inspired and full of love and beautiful in January, so I had fun playing around in these new looks, but I still don't know that this will be an "often" thing. I think Emily and I are just having fun testing out her new camera for now.

It's actually crazy to me how well these new pants I found at the thrift store match this top I've had for years, and they just looked like together they'd make the perfect Valentine's outfit. Happy Valentine's Day! I wish you all a very discounted chocolate day on the 15th!

Finally managed to get in the February spirit and take a bunch of Valentines pics!! I had to do my makeup for a self tape (Emily and I both auditioned for a production of Much Ado About Nothing in Hollywood this summer, and we got a callback for the male and female lead, respectively, so that’s on Monday!)

Apologies for my never-ending absence, I have just been feeling so unmotivated and it’s been impossible to find a way to shoot things lately. But Emily got a camera for Christmas, and I dyed my hair back to brown two days ago (and hated it, it’s too dark) so it felt like the perfect time to put on my favorite girl with a twist and remind myself what I love about this hobby (and me). A little Jinx progress!

I got the wig back today from Lukara Studios, who were styling it for me, and oh my GOD!! I have to figure out how to attach it to my scalp so the lace doesn’t lift up and it doesn’t constantly get pulled back from the OVERWHELMING weight of the braids, and I have to print, paint, and attach the shell casings that go in her hair, but I’m SO HAPPY SO FAR!! And a little gratuitous showing off of my gym progress so far *shrug*. At least I’m feeling motivated to finally start on the costu...

2025 cosplans!

I’m trying not to commit to too much, so I can leave space for the things that inspire me, but so far these are the two big things I’m working on for WonderCon! I’m not sure what Bubblegum outfit I’m doing yet, though I love her band tee, but this is definitely the hairstyle I wanna do, so that narrows it down a little. And as for Jinx, I’m definitely doing this classic look but I might do her finale one as well.

Read a book this year that had been on my tbr for ages because I LOVED the cover art. Turns out it was exactly the thing I needed, and the main characters resonated with Emily so strongly that we fully said “screw recognizable” and cosplayed these two for the last day of LACC in October. Wig modeling shoot!

I had my first paid modeling gig two weeks ago, so I thought I’d share some of the photos here! This was for a wig company called HerWigCloset that’s located super close to me, and it was so much fun to have these kind people dress me up like a little doll in their gorgeous wigs and take product photos. I took pictures in 7 wigs in total and these 2 were my favorites!

I found this dress at the thrift store for $20 and it fit like a glove and every single person that passed by me as I tried it on told me it was made for me while my girlfriend blushed in the corner, so naturally I bought it not for a wedding, but for spooky vampire vibes. This look reminded me so much of Lucy Westenra, so in my head that’s what it is.

Got the photos from DragonCon of our Taylor Swift group back already and they’re so gorgeous! I feel so pretty in all these sparkles, and I’m so grateful I managed to get this little guitar finished in time (I stayed up until 4 hours before my flight finishing it). It’s such a cute little prop!

Sure, so I don’t super like the way I look in a Regency gown, but my best friend needed a prop for her book cosplay that absolutely no one has ever heard of, and I stepped in! Maybe I don’t like the full dress on me, but I sure had fun taking some selfies in the undergarments, and figured why not share those here too

Any excuse to bust out one of my MANY copies of the complete works of William Shakespeare, honestly. There’s nothing I love more on this earth than rehearsing for a Shakespeare production, and we open one month from today!

A little different from usual cosplay or fashion content, but instead somewhere in the middle. I’m currently in rehearsal for a modern-set production of Taming of the Shrew, and I picked this outfit out for one of my SEVEN costume changes, but I loved it so much that I made Aaron take a ton of photos of me in it so I could use them as promo for the show on Instagram. I’m honestly so stoked with how all of the photos came out though, this is one of my favorite sets in a while!
