Toph Pin Ups Render

The final image is something I'll work on next week. I put too much focus in to these these past couple of days and did not do anything comic related. None of these render methods are likely to replace the way I render the comic. They take too long.

So these aren't completely finished yet. And I've still got the other two to do. These pin ups are important because they let me test out different coloring methods for the comic. There are two goals in doing so. First, I want to drop Photoshop if I can. Two, to do the coloring quickly. I basically want to zoom through the coloring part of the comic without any hinderance. Working on a whole bunch of stuff this weekend. Gonna try and finish all of these this weekend. Probably post the finished stuff Sunday or Monday here, and then Tuesday or Wednesday on twitter. Part 3 - Page 72 - Sketch

So, I got a lot to say about this. I felt that the work I did yesterday wasn't enough, so I started working on a second page. Originally, if you look at the thumbnails, it was supposed to be a picture of their crotches with a talking head of Toph on the left side, and a talking head of Azula on the right. However, I really wanted the "jizzics" engine to be in full effect to show how much is being relentless pumped out (or in).  I tried to do the same thing in Part 2 Page 16/17, but that ...

Part 3 - Page 71 - Sketch

Kind of a simple page, but I really wanted to put some omph behind the reinsertion

Part 3 - Page 70 - Sketch

Took the day off yesterday to save on my wrist. But it feels like its at 90% so I'm back to work.

I take a lot of inspiration from the hentai that I watch, and one of my favorites is Beat Angel Escalayer. The final scene of the second episode FM77 starts to "arrive", pulls out, doesn't stop "arriving", then puts it back in to pump more baby batter in to Escalayer.  The next couple of pages are 100% inspired by that scene.

Also, I gave up on the feet on the last panel. LUL...

 I stupidly injured my wrist exercising. Thankfully I stretch regularly, so I don't think its bad as it could have been, but it has slowed me down. I may reapproch some parts of this when it doesn't hurt to work on it.

You know, I got multiple references for the foreshortening of the arms on this one. I know it's right, but invariably someone will comment that "hEr ArM iS tOo ShOrT" and those kinds of comments really held me back when I was a younger artist. Was working through an artblock recently so these took a little longer. Also, I'm not streaming these because... you know... twitch, and I don't like the picarto platform.

MPE Paizuri Plugsuit Toph

Inspired by the recent release of Eva 3.0 + 1.0 and the works of one Optional Typo. It's super rough because I was working through a bit of an art block when I was drawing it.  Should I take the time to finish it?

No it isn't. This is the second time I've tried to draw this perspective in this comic, and this is the second time I've failed.

Edit: I kept looking at this thinking "she looks too crazed, I wanted her to look sultry, what's going on" then it hit me right after I uploaded... BEDROOM EYES

edit 2: adjusted her pose to make it a little less stiff. The arm placement was stupid, so I redid that. I also addid some line thickness to suggest perspective.

I made a mistake on my last page. I sketched it with a brush that was too thick so it looks blurrier than I would prefer. It's something that I'll fix upon inking, but yeah.

This is kind of where my Thumbnails start getting a little more detailed, making the sketch way easier. There's a lot less "what the fuck was I indicating here?" 

Part 3 - Page 52 - Sketch

So blind people's eye muscles sometimes atrophy, and it causes their eyes to wander and they become strangely cross eyed. The fact that Toph is able to look straight ahead proves that the muscles that control how her eyes move works. I think that Toph's parents would have been the type to hire someone to train their blind daughter to "look" at people to be polite. However, she rarely does that, because she's Toph. Remember that episode where she attends a ball and says before hand "I know how...

Part 3 - Page 51 - Sketch

Edit: Huge edit.  I wanted her to be more active and dominant in this situation. So she's not only leaning in, but pulling him in. I also added the other guy. I wasn't going to at first because the perspective is just that obnoxious, but I decided "fuck it, I'd rather try and fail than not try at all."  The result of all the drawing, erasing, drawing, more erasing, and more drawing, is that this is a very dirty sketch.
