A little window to my life

What a day 🙃 It just took me a couple of minutes to decide which emoji to pick because this day was just… everything 😂 Chaotic, lovely, delicious, tiresome, stressful - you name it. I really don’t like the switch from winter to summer time, and losing an hour today really took its toll on me (I think I might have slept 5 hours all together, which is definitely not enough!). Trying out new things

I have to post more pictures of the shoot with Dominik since I still have plenty more to show you - and even more in the pipeline from last week's shooting 😂

I always find it super interesting to see the results as - while moving around and posing - I often don't know what exactly was photographed, and how the picture was taken (which level of detail, for example). So this picture here - and similar ones - really took me by surprise because I had no idea how it looks on camera.

Cars & music

The only time I had a shoot in/with cars 😆 I'm looking back at those pictures with a mixed feeling as some of them I still love, while others are just... really really bad. Dominik and I shot 1600 photos in 3 1/2 hours yesterday, and we both don’t know if we should cry or laugh about it 😂😅

Time for some honesty

This picture was the only time I've asked a photographer to alter my body via Photoshop. I always felt conscious about my body, especially my belly, and when I saw the first version of this picture, I felt terrible because there was a small belly pouch visible. Unfortunately, I don't have the original anymore, and I'm definitely not proud of asking someone to photoshop my body. Don't get me wrong, I love this photo, but I'm not yet able to enjoy its full composition as I always feel guilty wh...

Just wrapped up a shooting with Dominiklachmannfotografie and even though I just slept a couple of hours, it was an absolute blast. I wanted to shoot some behind the scenes videos, but someone apparently doesn’t know how their phone works, and pressed stop instead of play, and play instead of stop, so yeah… 🙈 I have one small video, which I might post tomorrow but unfortunately, I don’t have much more - I’m really sorry, guys. I promise to do better next time 🤞🏻

I actually wanted to write about the end of the work week again, but then I noticed that I just assumed (without knowing) you guys are all employed (in a Monday to Friday job), and that would be a rather stupid assumption. So whatever it is that you are doing or not doing, I hope that your day is sunny, and that you are going to have some time for yourself to relax and unwind 😊

Oldie but... goldie?

You can probably tell from my hair length (and other things) that this one also stems from a very very long time ago (we are speaking of more than ten years 😂). I don't remember where I've put the rest of the pictures, but I do remember that it was a lost-place (I think a former factory of the DB) with newspapers from the 50s lying around. I am not sure if, nowadays, I would "break" into a place I am not allowed to enter but back then I apparently was 😂

Halfway through

Guys! We are halfway through the week - which means the weekend is approaching (at least for those who work a regular schedule). On Saturday, there is another shooting (the one I created the mood board for) planned - maybe this time I'll get some behind-the-scenes-content for you! 😆 I might also be able to give you a little sneak peek of the outfits I ordered/put together before Saturday, but I don't want to make any promises I won't be able to keep 😂

I think with the amount of pictures of me lying or sitting in a bed, I really can't deny that this is my most favourite place to shoot 😂 So I'm afraid there will be many more - which I hope you don't mind!

A little window to my life

Mood Board Creation

Since Dominik, a friend of mine, and I am planning a shoot at the end of the month, we collected a lot of ideas over the past weeks. It got a bit overwhelming, so I created a mood board with the location, clothes, make-up, and hairstyle. That way, we have something to "shoot along" without needing to scroll through our group chat again and again, and we know what sets to shoot when. This can be especially important when shooting with wet hair (obviously, it makes sense to shoot sets like that...

Flights & Beds

I don't want to spread bad vibes but damn... the weekend is already over 😂 I'm still on vacation until tomorrow, and I have an additional day off because, honestly, flying really takes a toll on me, no matter how short the actual flight is. And I envy everyone who can sleep on a plane. How do you guys do that?! On another note: I already told you guys that I love homeshoots, but shootings in bed are even better 😂

Scheduled posts

I really don't know how people manage to schedule their posts in bulk... I'm doing it right now because I'm on vacation, and I know I won't have time to decide which picture I want to upload, write a description etc. But coming up with texts for several posts on the fly is not easy for me 😂 Huge kudos to those who don't struggle with it! Do you mind scheduled posts or would you much rather wait until the person posting is back from their trip to get "real-time" posts/descriptions?

A Quick Update

Sun-burned greetings from a very sunny Lisbon that I conquered with 21.000 steps, loads of tasty pastries, sun-glasses sellers that don’t know about personal space, way too many souvenirs, and a delicious bowl of Ramen in the evening. Boa noite from Lisbon 🇵🇹

A very very veeeery long day is (finally) over, and as I’m heading to bed, I just wanted to send a little greeting from Portugal. My day started at 3:30 AM this morning, and now, at 9:44 PM, every single muscle in my body is screaming for a good portion of sleep (after landing there was a lot of up- and downhill walking). I hope you had a good start into the week with a little less walking, but at least as much food 🥘 (And sorry for the bad-quality-selfie 😂✌🏻)

Polaroid

When sifting through my collection of USB sticks, I stumbled across this Polaroid and was like: Well, why did I never upload this? And honestly... since it is not a recent picture, I don't even remember the photographer (sorry 🙈). What I do remember is that it was taken on an attic during autumn/winter and it was HORRIBLY cold. I think (besides shooting in a river during winter time) this was probably my most uncomfortable shooting. Well, I don't want to lie, but it is at least in my Top 5...

I’m not the selfie type of girl (even though there are quite a few of them on my phone). New Nails, new Shooting

I just came back from the nail studio (they are my real nails with nail polish) as part of my “getting ready for tomorrow” procedere. I’m probably going to have dinner now, and then I still need to work out, tidy up, shave, do my eyebrows and a facial peeling. Honestly, this is the only downside when it comes to shooting at home: You need to make sure that everything is at least a bit presentable (which is not that easy with a dog who suddenly decides that it’s time to lose the winter...

The Location Question

I really really love homeshoots because I feel way more comfortable in my own four walls PLUS I can change outfits on the fly. Whenever I shoot outdoors or at a studio etc., I tend to bring a whole suitcase with me since I want to be prepared for every eventuality - which leads to a lot of stress on my end 😂 Also, I do like the flat we moved into last year with it's oak floor and big windows and the huge shower. It would be a shame to not use it for getting creative! Do you have a location...
