Understanding Chain of Command

I'm back from Austria now, so normal service will resume and you Patreons get a first view of any new video! This will be released later this week and is a look at the command dice mechanism in Chain of Command. I noticed whilst playing it recently that some of my chums were not making the most of their command rolls, so I thought I'd look closely at how it all works and hopefully help new players understand the roll of the dice, so to speak!

Two Videos This Week!

So my videos are backing up, so I'm going to reduce the 'to release' pile a bit faster than usual. So this means you have two videos this week. The first is linked above and is a different battle report to my usual ones, when Dean and I played 'O' Group recently. Let me know what you think of this format, as we said we'd be happy to do more in future and I want to know how to improve on it.

Secondly, at Christmas, I visited the Military Museum in Vienna, Austria and filmed a walk ...

O Group Combat Patrols, a new Video

back in December I made some combat patrols for O Group. I wanted something a bit more substantial than the pieces of laminated paper I was previously using and as they are on the tabletop for a large part of the game, I decided to go to town. These are the German ones and I have some Soviet ones on the way as well. Enjoy the video!

The Roaring Twenties Gangster Skirmish Rules

OK, here's a little oddity for you. My friend sent me a copy of a set of gangster skirmish rules which I had written in 2013. They had been sitting in his inbox, completely forgotten by me until now! feel free to download the PDF below and see what you think...

I was surprised at how fleshed out they were, as I usually run out of steam when writing rules, but these seem to be almost complete. A word of caution, they are extremely clunky and not how I would write rules now, but might be ...

A Ruined Garden Terrain Tutorial

I am currently working on slowly releasing my backlog of videos and this latest one was originally recorded during our Terraintober challenge in October! That gives you an idea of how far back my videos go at the moment. Anyway, this is a shortish video showing how I made some of my garden pieces to fit my pre-existing terrain pieces and add a bit of flavour to the battlefield. I hope you enjoy!

Kota Bharu Holiday Scenario

In association with Little Wars TV (Video Here), I have created a scenario for O Group, depicting the Japanese landings at Kotu Bharu, on the northern Malayan coast, 8th December 1941. It was the opening action of the pacific war against the Allies and allowed the Japanese to gain a foothold in Malaya to eventually lead to the fall of Singapore.
