NMM Progress!

Y'all voted for the gold smoke knight, so I'm starting out with some environmental images to help wrap my brain around what the highlights look like on this mini. I also introduced a ground color in my images to get a sense for how the environment might effect a surface that is semi reflective. I made the mini even more shiny by putting oil on it for the photos and then cleaning if off before painting. This will sit in front of me while I'm painting this mini as a guide!

I'm trying out a new format in this video. I'm not entirely happy with it, but it's closer to the sort of thing I want to do. I think it's too long to be engaging and interesting. I need to strike a balance between entertainment, and demonstrating/teaching technique so that it's not boring. I'd love to know your thoughts!

I got some good feedback from someone on patreon recently that I don't interact with my patrons enough. I hadn't stopped to think that patreon, in and of itself, is sort of like a social media platform in that people on the platform don't like to go other places (like discord). I do the majority of my interaction on discord and not very much on patreon. What would you guys like to see on my patreon page? Goal Fufillment

I just enrolled in a 6 week long open woodworking shop class where you have instructors and access to a full woodworking shop. This is the most cost performant option for creating some nice furniture for battle reports! I'll create the table over the course of 6 weeks and then start shooting some videos with it. I have some design ideas, but I haven't written them down yet. I'm excited!

Normally, I record the shout out right before the patreon release so I can get all the new people in the video, but I had to finish/upload this video this past week because I'm on vacation and in Amsterdam so I could release while I was here. New Release Delayed Slightly

I'm currently in Austin, TX on a business trip. I'm editing in my free time and will likely finish the video before this Friday, but there are certain finalizing things I can only do at home. So, the video should be out Saturday as opposed to Friday. I hope that's OK. It'll be the 'Eavy Metal Marines: Imperial Fist video.
