What up, mini family?! This past week was my first week as a full time youtuber and it was a strange one because I didn't do any sort of filming or editing at all, it was all painting minis!! As some of you may know, this past Saturday we recorded the first episode of Kill Your Friends. You know...the thing I promised as a goal on patreon back when I started this shindig?! Friday is kind of a weird day for a BTS post, but I was FULL STEAM AHEAD on that Contrast Paints video that came out today and had no time to post earlier; better late than never! What up, mini family?! It's been a while since we chatted because I forgot to do this post last week and it wasn't for a lack of stuff going on, I just forgot....anyways! Last week I did a lot of video editing. As you might know, I painted a NMM subject and shot video of the entire process. The process was around 2.5hrs long so I cut up the whole timeline and then sped up the painting parts by 150% while trying to keep the audio consistent with what was going on with the painting. This week was full of painting! Some time ago I made a "live session" video of me getting a blend on a space marine. I liked this idea as it shows the honest process of what goes into achieving an effect, it performed well on youtube, and it was easy to produce. I decided to do 2 more videos in that style. The first one was painting a face. I'm not the best face painter, so I had a go at some faces to practice.

Vampire update! The final 3D model is done and in the hands of Creature Caster for simplifying the model, printing, and casting! I'm so excited! I'm not sure when I'll have the final cast in my hands, but the next thing I need to start thinking about is packaging. Due to my previous experience in fulfilling merchandise, I have a pretty good idea on how to ship this stuff.
