Fey Dreams - angelic atmosphere

"Quickly and comfortably, you fall asleep around the camp fire, and once more find yourself slipping into dreams of fey landscapes and creatures. You've had these dreams many times before. ever since you journeyed through the Feywild, but tonight they are stronger, more vivid. You see a path through the trees, towards the twilight sun forever suspended on the horizon."

Hey folks!

My final track of 2021 is Fey Dreams, a choral track with an...

3 Free Bonus Tracks

Hey folks,

As a late Christmas present to you all, I've added three new Bonus Tracks to the download archive. (also attached to this post). These are older tracks of mine which I think work well enough within the TTRPG genre.

Rumination is a mystical orchestral track featuring some repeating harp sounds and echoey strings.

Tribe of the Forest kind of does what it says on the tin! It's a percussion - heavy track with a mysterious and mystica...

Arctic Attack - winter battle music

"The ice tremors beneath you. Then, with a tremendous crack the beast rises, fangs gnashing. Its white fur is marred with dried blood. You only have time to draw your weapons before the battle begins..."

Hey folks!

This track is a combat track with a wintery / festive theme. It was quite interesting writing this one, trying to combine the feeling of festivity with the action feel of battle! The sleigh bell is doing a lot of hard work to keep this one feeling theme-appro...

Snowed Inn - festive tavern

"Through the blizzard, you hear the sounds of music and laughter. You finally find the old inn, lights blazing through the windows, piercing the thick snow. You can feel the heat from the hearth even from outside. The heavy oak door swings open, and you are welcomed inside."

Hey folks,

Another festive track for you! This one is very much a tavern track, with some medieval sounding instruments (hurdy-gurdy anyone?) coupled with sleigh bells to create a warm wintery feeling...

Temple of Bones - A music, map, and magic items collab

“The walls are bone. The ground is flesh. The ceiling is blood. There is no escape from the temple of bones. There is no escape from the Bone Witch.”

Hey folks!

Really excited to share today’s track with you all, which is based on a track suggestion from Bard Tier supporter Lirin who asked for some music in a similar style to this epic dawn of war III trailer.

Winter Dreams - festive ambience

"The arctic tundra stretches out before your eyes. At the centre of the vast ice sheet you see a single heavy oak door. A soft voice from behind it calls to you, inviting you within. As you pass through, the shivering cold is replaced by the warm of a crackling fire which burns majestically at the centre of an ancient fae village..."

Hey folks,

I'm delighted to share with you this festive ambience track, which uses slow orchestral pads, soothing strings, ...

December Theme - Catching Up

Hey folks!

It's the end of the year and I've received a whole load of amazing track suggestions from my Bard tier supporters, many of which I've yet to work on. So December will be dedicated to catching up on some of those suggestions as best I can.

So far the suggestions I'm considering working on are:

- The Kald - a suggestion by Spyridon Alexopoulos who wants some Dune / Mandalorian style music for his desert adventure

Fallen Legend - sad strings

"She was a great warrior, and a good friend," Naefir says to the group, his eyes awash wish tears which flow down his elfin skin. "We watched her grow from inexperienced adventurer to a hero that the bards will sing of for an age or more. Where once she was a stranger to us all, she died as family. We will never forgot her, and we will fight on in her name."

Hey folks,

Another track is the Melancholy Moments theme for you. This track was o...

Omen - ritual voices

"We laid the bodies of our fallen companions in a ritual circle. Slowly, the chant began, ushering their spirits from their bodies. We felt great sadness as we said our final farewells, but as their souls were freed from their mortal constrains, we knew that at least they would find peace in the afterworld."

Hey folks!

Today's track is another one in the Melancholy Moments theme. The track uses ritual voices singing in tra...

Hall of Forgotten Heroes - a music and map collaboration

"The chamber is lit by the flame of a fading torch, flickering through a daze of dust. Your feet tread slowly across stone tiled floor. There are statues on either side of the room. Mighty heroes, wielding stone-carved depictions of ancient weapons of myth. They tower over you, their shadows long. What deeds did these heroes accomplish, that they have been memorialised in this way? And how quickly we must have forgotten, for their names have been long lost to history..."

Fading Hope - mournful ambience

Not every adventure ends in victory. Sometimes, the odds are too great. Heroes fall. Legends are forgotten. But there must always be hope, even when the world looks at its darkest.

Hey folks!

This is another track in my Melancholy Moments series. It's a mournful ambience featuring cello and piano above a bed of soft orchestral textures. Whilst it is melancholy in its tone, there are some small hints of brightness against the dark hidden...

Bygone Age - solemn atmosphere

"Slowly, from below the hill, the procession of mourners moves upwards. Together they carry the body of the fallen warrior atop their shields. Townsfolk gather around, sobbing and throwing flowers. At last, the procession reaches the pyre, and the body is placed atop. Then, with a whoosh of flame, the pyre is lit, and the soul of the warrior can finally find peace in the afterlife."

Hey folks!

Happy to finally have a track to share with you this month! T...

Poll: How did you find out about my music?

Hey folks, it’s been a great few months for the Patreon and I was wondering if you might all help me figure out where folks are hearing about my music? It’ll help me know where to direct my attention for self promotion and such. If you have time, select the option on the poll that best correlates to where you discovered my music.

Thanks!

Ian.

p.s. Oh, and if it’s via another creator let me know who the creator is in the comments if you can. Thanks!

November Theme: Melancholy Moments

Hey folks!

It's that time of year... Things are getting colder (well, in my part of the world anyway), there's a melancholy feel in the air... Oh, woe is me, how shall I possibly write music this month?

Oh, I know! Let's make it all sad!

So, this month I've not put up a poll for the monthly theme, because last month's themed were tied - Legendary Monsters and Melancholy Moments. I ended up dedicating last month to the first ...

Astral Dreadnought - intense suspense / combat

Banshee's Call - A music, vocals, and map collaboration

"The woeful banshee is a spiteful creature forever bound to the place of its demise. It is forced to relive every moment of its life with perfect recall, yet always refuses to accept responsibility for its doom. Those afflicted by the banshee’s curse experience no gladness, feeling only distress in the presence of the living. As the curse takes its toll, their minds and bodies decay, until death completes their transformation into undead monsters."

POLL: To pay or not to pay... that is the question.

TL,DR: Do you want your usual patreon pledge to apply when I publicly release a TTRPG track that was originally a paid commission?

Hey folks,

The growth on the Patreon recently has been incredible, and I'm making the gradual shift to working pretty much full time on TTRPG music. Thank you all so so much for that, these past few months have been the most rewarding of my musical career so far.

With growth comes more visibility within the TTRPG scene. I've ha...

Fire and Ash - evil suspense

"Fire represents vibrancy, passion, and change. At its best, fire can reflect the light of inspiration, the warmth of compassion, and the flame of desire... but at its worst, it is nothing but cruel and wantonly destructive. Worse, there are those that would twist this otherwise-mindless power to their own ends."

Hi folks!

Happy to share this dread-filled suspense track with you. It's part of the Legendary Monsters monthly theme, and is a track suggestio...

Kingdom of Stars - Sci Fi / Medieval fusion

"In the year 2771, the population of Mars was 55,721,000.

By the year 2871, that number had dropped to under 1,000,000.

By the year 2971, memories of Earth had become legends.

By the year 3071, legends of Earth had become myths.

Today, the years on Earth pass without notice on the once-red planet. Through unimaginable turmoil and against unimaginable odds, humanity has once again begun to thrive.
