This series of clips was taken each day of October as I drew the day’s Inktober entry for a total of 31 traditional ink drawings. This was my fourth year completing the challenge. My tools of choice were the Pentel Pocket brush pen & a few Copic Multiliners for precision details; each drawing is 4x6" on cold press watercolor paper.

Folks have asked what I’m drawing my Inktobers with - the star of the show is definitely my Pentel Pocket brush pen. I can’t recommend it enough; there’s nothing quite like it. I also use a Copic Multiliner for very fine lines and areas requiring high precision/control.

I'm doing Inktober for my fourth year! By the end of the month, I'll have another collection of 31 ink drawings completed. Once again, I'll be relying on my Pentel Pocket brush pen and Copic multiliners to create some beautiful little images. I was very happy with what I was able to create last year and can't wait to bring some even better work to the table after all the practice and learning I've had since then! A photo of a lovely species of Asian sphinx moth inspired me to do a little work with it - this is rough because of my limited tools on the road, but I think using metallic gold or leaf for its wings could create some beautiful effects.

I've been posting some clips on social media recently of in-progress freehand ink naturescapes such as the one above. Three of the pieces from these recent clips are now available to own in the shop! Each is a hand-drawn 4x6" cold press 140 lb postcard, signed on the back bottom corner and perfect for display or as a gift.
Just thinking about a lot of things this morning and felt like doodling after getting some work done. Time is short; let us make the most of it and improve others' experience as we can while we are here.
