Inktober 2018: Take Home an Original!

This is my third year participating in the Inktober challenge - by the end of the month, I'll have finished 31 original ink drawings after doing one every day! I'm relying heavily on my favorite Pentel Pocket brush pen as always with a little use of multiliners for tidying details. The spread I presented last year showcased a lot of what I can do with inks, so I hope to continue that trend this year with what I've learned since then! Here's #1:

Insecta Geometrica 2: More Stretch Goals!!

We officially unlocked the Birdwing butterfly and are now well on the way to unlocking the next stretch goal: a Kickstarter exclusive Goliath beetle variant! After that, if we keep going, there's even the possibility of unlocking two additional colorways for the leaf bugs! With 9 days remaining on the campaign, I have no doubt we can unlock all eight pins if we keep the momentum up!

My Next Adventure

The move is coming up very fast now! The shop is in hiatus until September, and I'm trying my best to tie up loose ends before we load up and ship out. The online patron rewards should be out in a few days as usual & it looks like this month's postcards will get here this afternoon, so those and the Bug Club packets will be on the way before I leave. I'm so grateful for your patience with me as everything has come together for this over the last long while!

MOTH WEEK SALE

It's that time of year again - time to go out in the backyard after dark with a big white sheet and a bright light and check out our buggy friends! My love for moths is no secret, so I celebrate Moth Week every year with a sale - and this time, it's a moving sale, too. The shop will be closing for the move at the beginning of August and may not reopen until closer to September, so this is a super great opportunity to snap up all those bug things you've wanted for a while!
