I finally did it...
For someone that draws anthro characters on a daily basis and even being a fan of the Sonic games, I've never actually drawn any characters in my life! (surprising I know). Anyway, here's a couple random ones from the last few nights in a couple styles. The Rick and Morty style came to me after brain farting for awhile hehe.

Welp, after 6 years of beginning this project, I’m finally hold it in my hand! These are some prototype books I had printed with certain paper and quality features I was testing out. I really like how they turned out with the soft touch laminate, but I may test a gloss cover to see if I like that better. I’m pretty excited! New Website Update!
Since doing the original picture 5 years ago (wow has it been that long?), I redid the piece with a new flare and angle. What you are seeing is roughly done, but I may make some tweaks over the next day or two for the website. I think I'll eventually make a "living image" video version of it as well, just like the last one, but that will come a bit later.
This is the version without the logo.

New Front Page Incoming!
If you haven't looked at the website recently, I've updated a ton of art, completely redoing the character section. I have a bit more to do, but am now redoing the front page of the website itself.
I did some thumbnails of what I'm deciding on for the main composition shot. I'm personally leaning on #4 based on placement and balance of everything, perhaps 5 as well. Patreons are more than welcome to voice their opinions as I'll certainly take it into consideration!

Updated Designs (so far)
I wanted to share the new designs I've been working on not just for Volume 2, but for the website as well. I'm wanting to use stronger themes and fashion cues to get a stronger vibe of Ion Valley culture, also taking some inspirations with the 1960's. The characters that got the biggest makeover are obviously the youngest ones since time has passed: Arlo, Enzo, and Lily.
I also changed some color profiles for some characters since I wasn't as happy with some of my past choices in Volume...

A long time ago, before I even planned how I was doing Volume 1, I had a character envisioned at Enzo's school, Professor Watts (get it? electricity.. har har). Welp, after scrutinizing and going through multiple revisions on what my banner would be, I finally landed on it, took a deep breath, ordered the thing, and hoped to hell it wouldn't turn out like crap. You never know when ordering through online systems!

This was a test run I did to figure out what Arlo will primarily look like in Volume 2. The design of him personally isn't what I'd call the final, but I'd like to shakeup his look while committing to 60's fashion and themes a bit more. In 2016 at Indiana Comic Con, I met a man that specialized in metalwork and steampunk creations. Some of his creations were clocks, in which I about lost my mind when seeing them in person. I KNEW I had to have one someday!
I then visited Anthrocon for the first time in 2017 and he was there again! We discussed a lot as I looked at more of his clocks. Same thing happened in 2018. However, last year at Anthrocon 2019, I finally took the plunge to commission him for a custom clock!

Con items arriving!
Just a few of many things arriving for con prep in the summer! I got some biz cards, bookmarks, and my table runner for starters. They turned out great! I have lots of other boring materials I've purchased like table cloths, canvas and book easels, biz card holders, etc... but these are the more exciting things.
Next up... my giant vertical banner, art prints, stickers, and ultimately... BOOKS!
