New Volume 1 Covers! (WIP)

Since signing with a publisher, I proposed the idea of redoing the cover since they are specifically made to SELL when they sit on a shelf. The publisher agreed. I've learned a lot in 5 years, and hearing some advice about redoing the cover had me thinking. I took the fresh approach with the Volume 2 concept many months ago, but Volume 1 definitely needed a revisit, so here's the process!

Cashmere Sky Project Update 12 - HUGE NEWS!

It's been a long 8 months since the last update. I won't tease you any longer, as this has been a long time coming!

Cashmere Sky is getting published! This means both volumes are coming to print and will be purchasable in the future! 

Also, Volume 2 is going to be readable to the public very soon! Keep an eye on updates!

There are many more updates in the video, but I wanted to just come out and say those two things as it's a huge deal for everyone. Thanks again for all...

Anthrocon 2022 is a wrap!

So if you didn't already know, I was in Pittsburgh for Anthrocon 2022 for my first live debut of the comic! I believe it even set a record for over 9700 in attendance! For being relatively unknown, I'd say it went quite well! I sold nearly all my books (quite the healthy batch), multiple children's books and canvases, a handful of prints, and met lots of amazing new people!

Anthrocon 2022!

Apologies for the late announcement, but if you're in the Pittsburgh area, I'll be attending Anthrocon 2022 from June 30th to July 3rd! My dealer booth is located at tables A04 and A05, right next to another comic Two Kinds (maybe you've heard of it? hehe).

In this pic, I was test setting everything for my table placement. There's also a lot of merch. Canvases, prints, stickers, bookmarks... oh, and did I mention BOOKS? After the convention, I'm still figuring out if and when I can setu...

Life from a different era

We see here a rough rendition of a younger Holly and Abram (yes he's alive again!...sort of lol). There's some upcoming backstory that I recently added to the script since I felt it really needed it.

The scene may be one of the most difficult and time extensive scenes to draw in the whole volume, but it'll be worth it. How did they meet? You'll see in time! ;)

Bokko Bunny... for a new audience XD

I was on stream the other day and a friend of mine who's a connoisseur of old Japanese anime toons challenged me to draw Bokko Bunny. Cracking my knuckles...I think I took it a bit too far hahaha.

As you can see, I made her a bit too anatomically correct, going for that Austin Powers / Bond girl vibe. It was good practice, but a bit "blursed" in my eye. (blessed and cursed)

The next scene has begun and Arlo wants to give Enzo a bit of a music lesson. The conversation evolves, but I've been having fun with some of the poses and interactions. Here's a few to start!

Here are some sketches from a previous scene I did. More adventures with these two as their relationship unfolds. Will it be smooth? Hmmmmm. 

Fashion Sense

This was a one-off piece as I'm in between scenes for the comic. As you can see, Lily and Daphne have swapped attire and Daphne isn't amused. The real life Lily and Daphne never got along either so I thought it was fitting. They'll meet at some point in the comic, but how... haven't decided yet XD.

Lily passed away last weekend and was 14 years old, so I thought this was a good send off.

A batch of renders

I finally finished another scene, clocking in around 2+ months of work. I wanted to show a sneak peek of some of the upcoming characters and scenes in store. I'm still experimenting with lighting and rendering, but I hope I'm moving in a better direction with it. The next scene will be a fun one with a bit of exposition, but should really shine on some character moments and what I regard as one of the more unique parts of the script in Volume 2. :P

Updates, shenanigans, and more!

As another update, I wanted to drop some random sketches and sillies that happen from time to time. Posing, expressions, and generally making mockeries of my characters at times hehe. I'm also including some new shots with flat colors (not rendered at the moment).

I'm still waiting on a special update before I can say more, but you better believe I'll make an announcement if / when it happens. Things are taking longer than expected!

Time flies! (and I just messed up)

That's my face right now. Huge apologies for those that missed the update on Friday. I like to queue up months of pages just so that doesn't happen, but whatever reminder I had on my calendar... um.... never happened when it ended. My queue dried up!

No worries, as I still have plenty of pages left and will be sending last Friday's RIGHT AFTER THIS UPDATE. Again, sorry! Life has been a bit crazy lately.

New scene / new roughs!

Apologies if the updates are sparse between page releases. I really get bogged down in the details sometimes and completely lose track of time! This scene in particular was one of the most concerning scenes in Volume 2. I never felt the writing in it was strong enough, motivations weren't clear, and the plot direction felt weak.
