a secret project...!

so, this month i've mostly been working on updating my android games to comply with google play's new requirements. (i'm sorry i don't really have any images to show or anything - it's just boring codey stuff!) i'm also working on bringing magical witch bell to android, so i've been fiddling with the ui to make it more smartphone-friendly. there's also yaoi game jam, but i plan on doing the bulk of the work on that next month.

but... i've also been working on this!

i saw the not a game jam game jam a couple of days ago and was inspired to make this tiny friend that you can print out and put into your pocket.

🐻 caption tool, a simple tool for adding image & sound captions to renpy, has been released. it's the same system i used in last day of spring, just compacted into one little zip file with a cute bear mascot.   

i was going to release this later this month, but the minor fixes that i needed to make (changing the music & fixing font/choice ui) took less time than expected so it is out for everyone now.

my caption tool for ren'py is now up for patrons! it lets anybody add the caption system in last day of spring to their own ren'py game.

i think i've made it fairly simple, so i'd be really happy if people would use this tool to add image & sound captions to their games...! (please let me know if you end up using this.)

🌷 last day of spring has been released this 30th of april, on the very last day of the heisei era. 

i was planning on working on something else this month, but somehow this happened instead. in one night, hot springs, we had haru's perspective with her making a lot of different choices, so i wanted to try showing erika's perspective as well.

i've been working on a phone-style menu for a new game. i'm pretty happy with how it looks, so i'm sharing it here! 

features:
- option to show different icons for different people
- different coloured text bubble for whoever's talking
- no text bubbles around stamps! (like in normal messaging apps)
