I assumed Dan would head back to the Class Trial to spend his Stat points.  He didn’t.  He headed straight to the third area.  It’s officially named Develop but it’s always called the Castle since there’s a big castle with a Class Obelisk a lot of participants use as a residence.  If they make it that far.

Chapter 18

Dan wished he could get a moment to catch his breath.  His enemies wouldn’t give him one.  They just kept coming and coming as he kept moving slowly westward.

His left leg wouldn’t bear much of his weight anymore, and he had a cut on his head bleeding bad enough that he gave up on keeping blood from getting in his eyes.  With less sight, he was taking more hits.

A high-tier devil had gotten involved with the Dan issue.  Or what we consider a very high tier hotshot in my layer.  Rumor has it he’s a Chief.  No idea if that’s true.  I never even heard of that tier before this.  His name’s Mystozagan.

Chapter 15*

After Ace left, Dan didn’t hit the Class Obelisk and spend his six Stat points.  Instead, he went on a run and exercised.

When he was done, he still didn’t spend them or force another level up.  He worked on mana techniques until his core went down to about a quarter.

Then he took out a beast core and meditated.  He was able to drain it and fill his own much faster than usual, especially considering the size of his pristine core.

Personally, I think Dan should’ve picked a combat summons and utility pet.  I think they’re way better than regular summons. 

Or better yet, he should’ve picked a better Class with two power Orbment slots and a utility slot and taken a combat summons, a regular summons, and a utility pet.  Or BALLAD OF ANCESTORS.  Why fight yourself when you can have Orbments do it for you?

Well, like I said, he was offered a shitload of Legendary Classes.  The three he spent the most time looking at had the stupidest names.  Adventurer, Anamagma, and Stone Zealot.

Can you imagine being such a loser that you would even consider getting the Adventurer Class?  Only a stupid idiot would consider such.  And how is that Class even Legendary?  I spit on that Class!  Ptooie!
