Infested Throne Hall or Beholder's Lair

Hello everybody!

I'm coming back with the brand new map which is kinda boss encounter in my head, but use them as you please. 

I have focused this time on making this "cave" looks like a Beholder's Lair. Commissions Tier - yay or nay and how much

Hey dear Patrons,

This time I need your opinion about opening a totally new benefit and Tier. I think about a new super-duper elite Tier for a limited number of patrons (like 3 or 4) for commissions! 

As map making and all the stuff around, isn't my fulltime job (yet!) it seems sensible to limit the patrons on such tier. It is also to prevent a situation where I'll be doing a commissions only, leaving others behind.

Lost Mine of Phandelver: Old Owl Well

So I made another map form the official campaign Lost Mine of Phandelver. I think I started to like these pine trees model which behaves really crazy on the wind - comparing to slowly swinging other trees which you can see on the other maps. WIP: LMoP - Old Owl Well, well, well

I've just wanted to show how advanced are my works on the next LMoP map. I'm recording the scene now, so I think it's gonna be released tomorrow the latest! This time I used a different type of trees to add some distinctive character to the whole map. Swamp Ruins

Hey everybody!

So here is the results of my livestream building the map. I have managed to boost it a little in Davinci so there are even a versions with the glowing magic circle in the center of the ruins. Anyway, this map made me realise that building a map alone takes only 20% of the time, while 80% is setting the tone, preparing different variants and preparing all the audio etc.

Mechanus Rusted Cogwheels

Hey!

Have you ever imagined an epic battle fought on the spinning wheels where each careless step can result falling down into constant working machinery? Well, I did, and I made this map for you :)

I have also added spinning cogwheel as a separate prop, so you can fairly easily add it into your Foundry or Astral and as a DM, have a control over the spinning animation.

Foundry, Astral and Roll20 Animated Trees Tokens/Tiles/Props

Hey everybody!
I took a while and made some research during the day in order to find out what it takes to make animated props. Well... after a lengthy series of experiments the results are finally satisfying and I can share them with you - Animated trees! Simple .WEBM files which you can essentially drag and drop to your VTT  and even static map becomes more vivid!

Crossroads in the forest

Hello dears!

I had some time to prepare some simple map for generic encounters on the road. I'm going to spend more time on making some original ideas than re-creating official content now, but don't worry I'll get back to the campaigns next month. It's almost ready. Almost because now it's time for all stuff which makes the animated map. I'm gonna release all variants at the same time: static, animated and Wildshape file, but making a good quality video takes some tricks and tweaks. Also I would have to split the map into several smaller ones to keep resolution bearable - this is another biggie to deal with. Overall, let's say it's alpha version :D

Well taking a days off form my job really pays off. I made a significant daily progress as you can see comparing previous post. Now the real challenge starts, build all that decorations small props which make every chamber or room specific. The good side is there is a small description in the adventure book which a least gives ma some guidelines. So here it goes: props, then lights and postproduction which turn it into the animated map :)

Out of my experience of being forever DM, I know that many times the narration takes a much more important part of the session than combat.
