merch progress - sticker

today i was working on the motives for the sticker sheet~ i'm still optimistic i can get everything done what i've planned this month without being too stressed (i say that now but you know how it is at the end of deadlines asgdjf). but i've been playing a lot of Guild Wars 2, which inspires me quite a bit. i want to draw all my characters soon!! i think it's important to just dive into other stuff sometimes to recharge. speaking of recharging... it's 5 am, time to sleep soon 💤

merch progress - illustration wip

ROBIN'S SHIRT IS MISSING whoops he's gonna get one. i haven't decided what to give him to wear yet but i'm sure it won't hurt to show you this state of the drawing~

i want to include this illustration into the book. i spontaneously sketched it today (instead of something else i wanted to do) and i think this could turn out really nice ;; Noah making a red flower circle, kind of mirroring Robin's red sun 🔴🌸

today i ordered the test charms to see if i have to fix anything and i can't wait to see how they'll turn out!! 🌸

i'll keep you updated and i'll show you the result as soon as they arrive

by the way, because someone asked about the size: they're both 2.5 inch (ca. 6 cm)~ not too tiny and not too big

here is the character i've told you about!! Mother will appear in scene 24 and i wanted to show her to you guys beforehand.

now that i think about it it's safe to say that mother figures play a pretty big role in the plot? they change from the first minute on the ones they take care of... in one way or another. sadly not all mothers are good. but many are.

i'm pretty much done with the polaroid charm and could start with the next one today! 

this one is going to be a wooden charm, not an acrylic charm! printed on darker wood i think it will fit the spirits very well, closer to nature 🌹 still need to add the red flowers, the red sun on Robin's chest, smoke, and some small moths

currently working on this charm! i'm going to use very soft spring colors for it and a white frame of course, polaroid-like. i still need to add a back view and all flowers but then it's close to being done. it's the first time i'm making an acrylic charm, working with semi transparency and full transparency. this is 100% new for me anD I HOPE THEY'LL TURN OUT CUTE

bodytypes

someone on tumblr asked about how to make OCs look a bit different? and asked about Noah's and Robin's bodytypes, and before i show it to the public i wanted to talk about it here first

their bodytypes are pretty standard but i think what's important is to give them own expressions and gestures, too. if all characters would move the same or speak the same, even when they look different, they don't quite feel individual? i'm not a pro but i figured this helps a ton to give them more char...

what do you think? i thought snuggling spirits can't be wrong and to have them in one charm instead of two feels even nicer tbh. also i can play with the background colors and maybe add a little red flower as extra accessory.

i noticed a small change in style and how i do lines, it might be because of a longer break but i think i like it? it's a bit sketchier / messier and hopefully fits well to the spirits appearing more often and the story slowly getting darker from now on 🌸
