let me introduce to you: Mother

here is the character i've told you about!! Mother will appear in scene 24 and i wanted to show her to you guys beforehand.

now that i think about it it's safe to say that mother figures play a pretty big role in the plot? they change from the first minute on the ones they take care of... in one way or another. sadly not all mothers are good. but many are.

Robin and Noah have close contact to three different ones: 

Martha (Noah's mom; gentle and bubbly, she's far from perfect and maybe has taken a bit too much off of Noah, she can't be strict at all and is way too soft with rules, making him a little spoiled and dependent; but she tries her best, has a strong urge to be there for everyone, and has strong motherly feelings towards Robin too. Robin sees her more like a close friend though - and Noah never really felt like a little brother to him, but a best buddy he can hang out with at all times), 

Irene (Robin's mom; has always been very busy due to her very hectic job as a doctor, but she's not any less loving. unfortunately she and Robin's dad just couldn't spend time with Robin when he needed it most, leaving him with serious issues in regards of loneliness and since then he's trying to handle everything himself without accepting help from others), 

and then there's Mother. 

she gets called Mother by both of them. before someone thinks "oh no, incest". nah, she's not a mother in that sense. just think of mother nature, or any similar spirit.

Mother is like a queen bee, a guardian wandering and looking for nature spirits. they stray from the usual paths other living beings take (like animals, humans, plants etc.) and they haven't found their way into the cycle yet.

these spirits are usual simple nature spirits waiting to find a home or in rarer cases higher spirits that need to be taken somewhere so they can grow and flourish.

Mother didn't give birth to Robin or Noah, she just collects new born spirits and... does things to them. captures them, builds things around them, gives them a name, and makes them a part of an established system where they can exist - when they follow rules.

she watches over countless spirits, making sure everyone has their place in the world. she's only watching and judging neutrally, and she always has the greater good (which is balance) in mind.

IF THIS SOUNDS SUPER CONFUSING, I'M SORRY AHHH. this is what the plot will explain in the next scenes and i'm super excited because finally i can explain to you guys WHAT Noah and Robin really are... were.

by the way, Mother is huge!! she's made out of thousands of bones from dead animals and mud and dead tissue and soil, and whenever you see fog hovering over a field or towering over a forest it could be that she or one of her sisters are there, looking for lost spirits.
