Ok, I am trying to do some work on 'Just Colored Lighting' shader this week, and polish it up. I am wondering if anyone would want me to try to create a newer hybrid of it and Icarus. Basically like Pegasus 2.0. The Pegasus shaders did not grow well, but the original idea was to be icarus without the expensive lighting, just moving features over after they had matured and were better optimized. Ok now that you all have the lens flares what do you think? By default they are on, but the star shaped flares are off. I think they are too bright right now, but I haven't settled on a good strength yet. You get to decide! Should they even be on at all? (Pick as many as you want)

I usually like to do an update every week, but I can't this week and maybe not next week either. My computer stopped working, and then my old computer decided to break too. It's going to take me a bit to figure out what's wrong and get going again. I am hopeful to still get something else done for July, but we'll just have to see how it goes. I have some parts coming and an waiting on delivery, then it's just diagnosing and rebuilding the computer.

I want to finalize this improvement to the colored lighting shader this week, and then port the system into Pegasus early this May.
It does a lot with block light while still being very very fast.
It will be a bit of a mess porting it, so I want to keep it separate while I work on it and not just put it on modrinth, so that I can still handle bug reports for the core version.

As of August 2025, the HD version of my resource pack is free. (version 29) If I can figure out how to fix what broke with the 3D material transitions, I will probably start making more textures again. I am going to add Reflections / basic global illumination and POM support for the next wave and try to get it into a release state.

Only tested in Iris 1.7.2 for 1.20.1, Older versions may have better compatibility.

I am developing using Iris for Minecraft 1.20.1 (iris-1.7.2+mc1.20.1).
intel (and Mac?) are the only gpu brands i know of not working right now. Optifine is broken. please report bugs and incompatibilities and I'll try to fix them soon. Your feedback helps this improve!

Hey! I am following through on making the crashing beach waves more accesible to play with at good frame rates by merging 'Simply Upscaled' and 'Icarus shaders'. This is VERY early access. like its just the waves and basic clouds added to Simply Upscaled. I will put some time into this and Simply Upscaled this week.
