Ok this is my Halloween picture for real

Sometimes, you hem and haw and fuss because none of the sketches you've done for Halloween feel right, and panic begins to set in. Then, sometimes you're just sitting there and your brain goes 'you should do Vex and Liam as vampire x werewolf' and WHAMMO, you're on your way. 

They had trouble with Vex's too-tight leather pants, but it was nothing werewolf claws couldn't fix. Vampire Vex will be very mad about this later.

October Suggestion Box: More Unicorns

Alex asked for more of my terrible unicorn man, and who am I to refuse such a thing??? As for the unicorn himself, he's gotten what he wants, which is probably bad for all concerned.

I think I'll finish this when I get the chance because the sketch came out so cute

Tales of Ribaldry

Here are some of the messy messy sketches and thumbnails from the ribaldry document. I draw REALLY SMALL to start with (to keep myself from getting bogged down in details too early), which is why these are so tiny and smooshy. The pairing is Philippe (vampire, dark hair) and Andre (human, blonde hair). Andre is extremely, aggressively In Charge, even while whining. Especially while whining.

I gotta get my brain back on vampires and priests if I'm gonna get the sex-in-a-church Halloween pic done on time, but I had to get this out of my system first~

I was going to do a new cartoon for October but this silly thing I made for an ad is better than anything else I will ever come up with.

October is HERE and apparently that means it is vampire o'clock, as I have constructed a big ol file named RIBALDRY full of fancy fancy 17th century vampire sketches. The real trouble is picking which one to do first. Halloween can keep going through November, right? I think so.

September suggestion box: vampire kisses

SO, the backstory on this mess: 

My very good friend Sykora is also one of my $10 tier patrons, and that tier gets to offer drawing prompts every month via a suggestion box. She thought she was funny by suggesting 'Uh, I dunno, vampires kissing???', and I guess I thought I was being funny by drawing not QUITE that but still going way overboard with it. Normally, suggestion box sketches would be much cleaner than this, but after a real bad drawing night, I gave up on cleanup and threw on a quick color block instead. I guess I'm painting it now! Should be finished sometime in 2050 (I am very slow at painting).

I'll probably draw vampires actually kissing before the end of October, too. That'll show her.

Did you know that dog surgery is very expensive? Well, it is! Those of you who have been on my twitter might have seen that my older dog had to go in to get his toe amputated because of a bony tumor. He's fine, but my wallet isn't. So I'm trying out some adoptables! 

The theme for these is Halloween Court, and they'll drop sometime in September. Since yous guys are my patrons, you'll get to bid early in case any of them interest you. 💖

I finally got around to installing some of the city brushes I have, which is a VERY PAINFUL PROCESS on ipad + clip studio. Ten brushes down, a hundred to go, and you have to do them one. at. a. time.

I'm still writing things up, but for September I'll be adding a new high-res tier, which also comes with a suggestion box 👀 Because I think we can all agree that I need even more ideas, right? Right.

it's not too early for halloween, right

As you have probably noticed, I work by loading up a pile of wips and then bashing through them one at a time. Halloween inspo hit, and so I threw this together before it went away again. I may take two months to do a mermay picture, but I'll be DAMNED if I'm late for Halloween. 

I've decided to do vampire x vampire hunter this year with some sacrilege for spice, so here we gots the vampire and two potential compositions for the final image. Perhaps I will pick one of these, or perhaps I will do something completely different! Who knows! (I don't)

The neighborhood Cooper's hawks had THREE babies this year, all of whom are now out of the nest. They have decided to spend most of their days in my backyard, yelling for their parents to bring them food. I love every single one of them unconditionally, as I, too, spend most of my day in my backyard yelling for food.
