I wasn't super successful. Also, I have bad news about the white Solo coming next week...
Side note: If you notice the white balance kind of being all over the place, it's because I got a new camera right before starting this video.

Twike invited me to Germany to drive a Twike 3 in its native homeland and experience the TW4XP. So I went to Germany!

This was an interesting one. I misunderstood until embarrassingly late in the planning process and thought the PAL-V prototypes flew and drove. Well they don't which meant the plan I had for the video didn't make sense anymore. I was still trying to figure out what the video was going to look like even as I was filming it. So if it's a disjointed mess, that's why. I even considered scrapping the whole video, but these prototypes and the engineering involved is just too cool to not share.

Hello everyone!
I see there was a ton of backlash over the sponsor in the last video.
This last video was supposed to be the first of three videos sponsored by BetterHelp, but given the response from this video, I'm discontinuing that relationship. I just want to put out fun videos that entertain and (possibly) educate. I don't want to work with companies that are going to upset my audience or distract from the content. And selfishly, I don't want you thinking I'm the kind who's willing to work with unsavory companies as long as it gets me a paycheck.
If you were unaware of BetterHelp's scandal, the FTC alleges they were selling user data (intake questionnaire answers, IP addresses, and email addresses) to Facebook and some others for the purposes of targeted advertising between 2013 and 2020.
I had no hesitation working with BetterHelp (and using their service) because they're not doing that shady business practice anymore. They've accepted their FTC punishment (paying $7.8 million in refunds to affected users) and changed their business practices to keep all your data totally private. Additionally, I've had a great experience with BetterHelp and received a huge amount of value seeing a therapist using their platform. But I see many of the commenters in the last video strongly disagreed with me and would like me to discontinue my relationship with BetterHelp.
I like BetterHelp. I've even mentioned them on video for free before. I've worked with sponsors that I don't particularly care about before, but they were harmless silly products like supplements or gift boxes. I would never (knowingly) work with a sponsor that I believed to be harmful or damaging.
Anyway, have a great day! If you weren't previously aware of the controversy surrounding my last video, sorry for making you aware!
Side note:
This isn't the first BetterHelp sponsorship I've had this year. I had a video sponsored by them in March. There were a few "I don't like that company" style pushbacks here and there, but the response was nothing like it was in this last video. Loads of people seemed genuinely upset to see me promoting BetterHelp this time. I'm curious what changed between March and now to cause this shift of opinion. Regardless, I don't want to upset people with my choice of sponsor, so it's time to drop them.

Prepare to watch me be incompetent and make many mistakes. Oh, and look inside an interesting battery pack I guess.

The repair took long enough that the owner had to leave the truck with me for an extended period of time. Which meant I had time to make a proper video about it! As the video titles suggests, I was disappointed in this truck. I can't believe how pathetic the battery is. Surely it hasn't always been this way, right? It's still a very interesting and cool pickup, but the whole battery situation makes me sad. Despite what I said in the video, and what logic dictates, I am actually considering getting one to modify the battery. This is a terrible idea, but if a cheap one presents itself...

Perhaps this is a bit silly, but I wanted to promote the re-upload of the Solos video and draw attention to Youtube's awful blur tool all in one go.

Wow! This ended up being a long one. I barely got it done on time. I went through everything in this video. The solos themselves, the history of ElectraMeccanica, the problems with my cars, and everything in between.
For the history segments, I added several disclaimers about the possible incorrectness of my information. A lot of the facts and figures came from one person and could very well be wrong. It's not that I don't believe him. It's that human memory is faulty and the bulk of what I asked him happened five or so years ago. That said, I'm confident most of the information is correct.

Hellloooo! It's that time of year again. My collection has grown a wee bit too big for even me to keep track of. Well, that's not strictly true. It's grown too big for me to keep up with.

I wanted to experience Aptera, so I emailed them and they said yes! As stated in the video, I was seriously impressed by their prototype and the progress they exhibited. I really hope they're able to make it to market!

Oh boy. What I thought was just going to be a quick battery build turned into a time-consuming and expensive complete Twike rebuild. Was it worth it? Probably not, but whatever. I had fun.

I asked a question in the original video, and one of you lovely patrons answered the question. The answer had to do with fire safety of the Twike, so I'm editing the video to reflect this new knowledge. I don't want existing Twike owners thinking their Twike is a fire hazard

These were mostly for me. The mechanics and engineering of these are fascinating! I spent a good while after I got back from the museum just trying to understand the Model T gearbox. I still don't understand how reverse works. It looks like it should be another forward gear.

This is the same video I posted earlier, but with all mentions of the P50 replicas removed. As I mentioned in the previous edit of this video, my mom ordered a P50 replica kit over a year ago. She wired them a not insubstantial sum of money, and they've stopped communicating with her. One email they sent her said she could cancel her order for a not at all guaranteed refund, but doing so would strip away her ability to ever place another order in the future. Given these terrible business practices, I've removed all the references to P50 replicas (even though I never mentioned the company by name) from the video as to not give them any promotion.

I spent far too long working on this video, and it was easily my most complicated edit. I'll let you all decide if it was worth the effort! I expect it to do terribly, but this was one of those ideas I couldn't get out of my head.
