FACELESS (Making-Of)

Hello all! Here is the comparatively lengthy making-of for "FACELESS". Possibly the most complex episode of Bigtop to produce...

I hope you and enjoy and I'll try to answer any questions in the comments if I feel like I have a good answer. 😅

I've been getting some questions about when the compilation is coming, it might take a bit. I was working on Bigtop pretty much all of last year and I'm taking a LITTLE January break to do other stuff. Such as these making-of videos!

Stone Jars (demos)

I've compiled two of the main demos that made up the writing process for "Stone Jars"!

The first one is basically the whole song minus the bridge, there's a couple lyrics that are different and it's missing the big walk down on "SQUIRM BENEATH THE LIGHTS". Also I'm definitely trying to keep my voice down in this one, I'm not sure when I recorded it but I clearly wasn't comfortable giving it full volume. 😅

CATS (Making-Of)

Helloooo everyone! This one is almost comically short, it turns out there wasn't much to say about this episode. 😅

The next one is much longer though, so they kind of balance out I think...

VENEZIA: Making-Of

Hello everyoooone!! Here is the making-of for Venezia! It's a little shorter than Oven because I'm not covering as much stuff, but there's still plenty to talk about.

Next up is CATS! I'll be sure to talk about working with Alex Hirsch and how we came in contact with each other. 😅 I may also touch on what happened with Billie and why I had to recast her (although there's not much of a story there lol)

OVEN: MAKING-OF

HELLO EVERYONE! I have just finished editing this making-of for "OVEN"!

I had a couple audio issues, hopefully it's not too distracting. I'll have that sorted out for the Venezia making-of. I think I'll also react along with the scratch boards+audio, now that I know where to find them on my computer LOL

CESARE RIFF (FULL)

I thought I would share this little peek behind the curtain, this is what Cesare's dialogue is like before I edit it down LOL...

His lines in the script are more like guidelines for Chris to riff off, and I construct the dialogue out of sections of riffing combined with his normal line readings.

It's no secret, but sometimes I worry I'm not upfront about it enough! 😅 The character is very much a collaboration between Chris and I.

Junk Truck Construction

HELLO ALL! Bigtop S3 episode one is out everywhere if you haven't seen it!!

I built a lot of goofy digital sets for this season which I'll talk about more in detail later when I eventually do making-of videos... but for now, here's this! 🚚

I tried something new (a sort of digital papercraft technique) which I can explain in detail if people wanna know more, but the gist is I drew all these SHEETS of objects in Clip Studio which I imported into Blender as mesh planes and "folded...

13 Jokers (Making-of)

Hello everyone!! This is my first time trying something like this, it's a behind-the-scenes for my new album 13 Jokers! 😅

I go over every track and talk about their construction, you can see it came out kind of long, I'm not sure if anyone wants an hour of me talking but HERE IT IS...

If people like this I'll do another one in the future for whatever my next album ends up being.

NEW ALBUM THIS SATURDAY (Track Preview)

HELLO EVERYONE! This may seem entirely out of the blue to most, but last year I sunk HUNDREDS of hours into playing BALATRO. I'm not much of a gamer usually, it just hooked me. I think it's one of the coolest things I've seen in quite a while.

It inspired me to make a little concept album, something I haven't done since Bikini Bottom...

It's called 13 Jokers, and is exactly that, 13 songs loosely based around 13 jokers from Balatro.

EVIL WOLVES (4:3)

My new short "EVIL WOLVES" is out today!!

This is the first of six skits I recorded with these characters back in 2023, they've been sitting on the shelf for a bit. 😅

I wanted to design them as standalone 1-minute shorts that could be cropped for vertical video and posted one at a time--then stitched together into one full-size video later on.

But for Patreon I thought I'd share the "WIDESCREEN" edition now!!
