Xom Redesign Option

Any thoughts on this?  I've always felt like I never really had an updated likeness for her.  I've tried before, but never liked them.

Both groups are trying to get Annie and Tabitha to heal eachother without the other noticing.  Lucy kicks Annie's tool chest and knocks them into eachother-- and also Grace who doesn't seem to mind.

WIPs

Two WIPs where I've made enough progress to be worth posting the results-

• I had that basketball pose sketch from a few years ago, and I thought this could be funny.  Tops versus Biggs.
• That Annie and Thomas sketch in a hallway from earlier in the year.

Pulse 524 & 525 WIP

Okay, Tabitha confesses that just like Annie, she also snuck out in a costume to hide her identity and acted as a superhero-- and also was beat up in the process.

On page 525, we have Grace, Tabitha and Connor sneaking around trying to help Tabitha.  Then there's Lucy, Annie, and Charlotte trying to sneak up on Tabitha, hoping to hide that Annie was injured.

Okay, Tabitha talks about her trip.  It was boring being with her family, because she couldn't tell them anything about her life.  She saw a supervillain running amok just like Annie, and just like Annie she used a disguise to fight them and got beat up.  Then she says that she has to try to get healed by Annie without Annie noticing that she's hurt (just like what Annie will try to do).

Okay, this is the next page after the one that's almost done.  Connor and Grace meet Tabitha at the airport, and then at the end Connor asks Tabitha why she's injured- because he can tell.

Just have to ink and color in Connor and Grace in the first panel, and write the dialog and letter it.

Connor and Grace head off in what could be Connor's old superhero car turned civilian car-- and Grace finds out they are headed off to pick up a woman at the airport (Tabitha).

Lulu, Rikku and Yuna

Three characters who appeared in two different Final Fantasy games.  Yuna the Summoner (right), and two of her bodyguards- Lulu the black mage, and Rikku the thief (and also her cousin).

Grace and Connor head off, and what Grace doesn't know at first is they are going to pick up Tabitha at the airport.

Okay the start of the new chapter.  I need to explain where is Tabitha, and also give an update on Connor and Grace for about four pages.  Then the middle four pages of the chapter are about Annie and the aftermath of the last chapter.  Then the last four pages starts the introduction of the six other batteries talked about early in the comic.

The airport.  Grace has some funny sign, maybe is says "blondes"?  Tabitha says she's only one, but is she good enough.  Then Connor tells her that he can tell she's injured, and why is she hiding it?

Connor and Grace leave, using what I assume could be Connor's old super-tough super car.  Connor tells Grace they're picking up someone at the airport, and she's a blonde.

Connor is having nightmares about testing his invulnerability.  His granddaughter, Grace is trying to improve her cooking- making the same waffles her grandmother and Connor usually make.

Here's the full thing with dialog.  I'll have to add the WIPs later because I'm on my laptop and realized I don't have access to those files right now.

Part of the joke here is that the brunette was once someone important, and the other two were two of her bodyguards (and the blonde is also her cousin).

I changed my plans for the dialog.  In my original plan, Annie was more scared knowing her mother knows.  But I decided that instead she'd probably be depressed she couldn't handle this all secretly.  I also changed the last two panels to match being depressed versus being afraid.

This is the end of chapter 40 "Escape", and the end of this little pre-superhero arc.  The next chapter is actually the start of a tournament arc.  The other six batteries arrive. &nbs...

Basically, Annie says that she's worried her mother will find out.  Then they all hear Annie's mom say telepathically "I know".  I haven't decided if the last panel will show the outside of the apartment building, just a dark panel, or something else yet.  I think I need to figure out the dialog exactly.

DrunkDuck Best Adventure Comic Award Winner

Okay, they were asking for people to make little presentation comics for the annual DrunkDuck awards.  (Even though I've never even been nominated there,) I thought it would be fun to do one.  I got "best adventure comic".  I don't know who won, and was told to just leave a blank white space in the final panel.

I originally planned for Charlotte, Lucy, and Annie to be in the middle panels, with banners of the three possible comics, but I thought that might not be showing ...

I wanted to try to add some eccentric characters without them too silly.  This is a comedy, but it's not a totally unbelievable comedy.

My original plan was for the professor to be some old guy, and one of the other students would end up being the boyfriend for Max's Boyfriend's Sister.  This way, it can be only one character.

Okay, Dr. Mae wants to look over Annie and see if she can patch her up or if they have to go to the hospital.  Annie says that she just hopes that her own Mother doesn't find out-- then there's a telepathic word bubble in panel three they all hear that says "I know."

Last page of the chapter.  As they start to review Annie's injuries, Annie's Mother sends them a telepathic message informing Annie that she knows what's happened.

Dr. Mae says that she needs to examine where Annie is hurt to see if she can patch her up enough to make it until the morning, or if she needs to go to the hospital now.

Annie says she just hope that her own Mother doesn't find out about this.  Then they hear "I know" as a mental projection.  Then I haven't decided how it ends.  They aren't sure how Annie will be punished.

OH BTW, Annie's bust in panel 2 is fairly normal because I was drawing it in a not completely ...
