Okay, so the story switches back to Annie and Charlotte, as they try to avoid being seen by the SCU.

My thing about Annie is that she isn't the strongest or the best superhero by any means, but she's clever.  She thinks about things and comes up with plans.  I'd think she's consider how they'll try to search for her, and what she can do to avoid detection.

I'm still debating what to put in the one panel.  I think Rikku should be topless somehow on this page, considering none of the main cast has been this chapter.  Maybe she's weighing her breasts somewhere?

• An idea for the Checkered Bikini picture for this year.  The news says there's a slime monster on the loose.  Then later, Tabitha asks if Annie's suit is finally clean, and Annie says it'll never be clean enough.  Not sure about the last panel though.

Pulse 512 WIP 1

The story switches from Lucy and Jessica back to Annie and Tabitha.

I altered the dialog a little from my early rough sketch to avoid repeating dialog from the last page.

I considered having Noah sort of the obvious background in all three panels.  Like you'd be able to see the back of him.

I originally didn't plan to name who this was pretending to be Annie on this page, but based on some comments, I thought it was important to explain soon.

This is page 5 of the 12 page chapter.  On the next page, it'll probably have a panel or two of Lucy and Jessica, and then back to Annie and Charlotte as they try to sneak back to Charlotte's home.

Batgirls

I guess a picture I started in early 2021.  Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown as they appeared in the recent Batgirls comic (although their costumes seemed to change radically based on the artist and I had to try to merge different versions).

I'm not sure why, but Noah here is designed a little like one of those oversized characters who just looks out of scale with the others, like the Thing or Kingpin.

Jessica and Lucy must have thought they'd want a display of Annie's powers-- which are obviously different from her Mother's powers.

In the final dialog, I think I need to really hint here that this is Jessica, and not Annie or something else.

Jessica tries to fool them so far.  It makes you wonder what she'd resort to doing if things got really bad.  I wonder if she could alter their memories?

Four work-in-progresses:

• Nami from One-Piece.  I promised a while ago to draw her on Twitter, and I'm never quite happy with the way I draw someone the first few times, especially for a long time if it's a anime character.  I'm never sure how much of me I should use, or if I should imitate the original artist.

Pulse 512 WIP 4

I think the final art, it just needs lettering.

I had to make a number of last minute changes as you can see in the previous WIP.  I had drawn the back of Lucy's top differently on a different page, The line was missing from Jessica's shirt in panel 1, The SCU woman's visor wasn't quite right in panel 4, and I thought Jessica's chest wasn't big enough in panel 1 or 5.

A lot of times you don't notice those things until you start to color.

Okay here's Jessica trying to pretend to be Annie.  Part of the next page would be with Jessica and Lucy, and then it'll cut back to Annie and Charlotte as they try to get to Charlotte's place undetected.

The "4" and "5" at the top are to remind me how far I am into the 12 page chapter.  So I can have an ending or semi-ending that leads into the next chapter.
