Almost done.  Just need to finish the shading, look for mistakes, fix the gutters, color it, shade it, and letter it.

Not sure what should be on Annie's shirt.  I thought about "500", or something else?

I need to add her ring somewhere, maybe the drones?  Maybe some more bandages on Annie.

I altered the template I use on the Android tablet to draw pages.  I made it wide enough to have panels that go all the way to the edge again, and a panel border to show how far the normal panels go.

Pulse 499 + PSDs + WIPs

Okay, I thought I had to have Annie fail twice.  The first time the robot ran away, the second time it fought her and she started to understand it.  She has a lot more information this time.

What do you want me to prioritize?

Aside from Pulse, what would you like me to focus on?

VDSD 2023

A WIP for my contribution for the 2023 Valentines Day Sex Drive.  I don't think I'd draw porn, but I've always felt limited because I doubt most of the characters either have a partner, or some have never been sexually active yet.

So I suspect this isn't "now" in Pulse.  This is some not far in the future period.  Although this is my fourth year of these, and the thirteenth year of the comic, and Annie and Thomas have still not had sex yet.

Pulse 499 WIP 3

This is late, so like always the WIPs after a page is late go up for everyone.

What happens is that Annie sends the two working drones back to search and find the robot animal gone.  Her staff is still there, but they also find part of the tracking spike-- meaning she doesn't have an easy way to follow it.

Annie sends the drones back to search and finds the robot has left-- her staff is still there, but only part of the tracking device she put on the robot was left behind.

Then on page 500, a wounded Annie admits what happened to Lucy.  She says she didn't think she could hide it.  She thinks the robot got away-- but then they check and the tracking device is still active.  The robot must have absorbed it.

Sketch Dump

• A sketch of Annie in a swimsuit, and an older option.  I'm not sure which pose is better.
• Lucy comic.  Based on feedback I guess she wakes up with huge breasts.
• I think this is my silent comic for this year's Valentine's Day Sex Drive.  I doubt this is depicting something that's actually happened yet though, maybe it's slightly in the future.

I know in a way this is kind of the ego explanation, but that sort of made sense.  Max is happy with herself, but her bust is something she thinks might improve her, but she's assuming nature will decide.  If her full potential is to be bigger than she'll get bigger, if not then she won't.

Another critical page, this page and the next have to set up why Max would agree to try to be bigger.   We've already displayed that she's hot and she knows it.

Okay, so I thought this page was a little tricky.  I didn't want Sam to have the correct idea about why Max was preoccupied.  That she's never known Max to have a thing about being small for her family.

Annie's costume was battle-damaged.  I'm not sure yet if I'll have her switch to her other choice (from that picture), or have her make quick patch fixes.

Pulse 498 & 499 WIP

In my original plan on the last page Annie would be holding all three drones to keep them from being absorbed.  I thought that over-complicated things.  So she's saving one in here, and then the other two fly up once she's outside.

On the next page, she staggers up and sends the two working drones back and find the robot gone, her staff is still there (it only absorbs technology), and the tracking device out of the robot.

Okay, some sketches-

• A comic with Lucy.  I'm torn if she should wake up in a superhero costume like she's in an alternative universe where she's the superhero not Annie-- or if she wakes up with huge breasts.
• Various Tifa and Lulu pictures.  I think I'm considering the bunny one.  That last one is Tifa in Yuffie's outfit and Lulu in Rikku's outfit.

Pulse 496 WIP 3

Annie gets of the way and watches the two robots fight, and the result is a little messy.

End of the chapter, but the story continues.

Pulse 497 & 498 WIP 1

Okay, what happens is that once the robot defeats the bird robot guard, it starts glowing, and dragging technology towards it.

Annie manages to grab all of her drones and hangs on to a support beam.  But when she looses hold, she shoots all the way out for the building and into a field.

I haven't added the dialog here because I felt like pages 15-17 were kind of specially critical, and I should do them all at once to make sure the dialog works.  So the final version of those pages will probably appear together (once the artwork for page 15 is done).

One more page for this chapter, but the story obviously continues into the next chapter.  I had to make a few last-minute changes.  When you're coloring is when you usually notice thing you forgot to add.  Annie's costume around her wrists, some of the lines on her costume, and the tracker on the robot.

What I'm trying to do here is show the robot is more of a threat, but I'm delaying Annie's fight with it until it's a really challenge for her.  I'm also trying to ex...

Pulse 495 WIP 3

Okay, so Annie is surprised because the robot acts differently than she expected.  It changes it's fighting style and appearance.

She realizes she has to fight, but instead of relying on her electricity as a backup attack, she pulls out a weapon, knowing that she can't reveal her powers if she wants to be unknown.

Then the robot animal security guard of this place arrives.

Pulse 495 WIP 2

Working on the details.  I think I need to change panel three because it didn't seem like he should be hitting her in the chest, more like in her waist.  Now that I look at it again, maybe it's more of a slight hit and she can barely twist out of it, then falling in panel four.

I want to show that while she's thought this out, she's sloppy still- and the robot is more of a threat than last time, it's not quite a match for her yet.  But she was underestimating it before. 2022-12-29 12:37:28 +0000 UTC View Post
