Who to Draw--

I'll try to exclude some of the options that win too often, and maybe fewer options just to shake things up.  People I haven't drawn recently as well.

Sketch Dump

Just happens to be a set of very Pulse-centric items.  There's some other stuff with other characters that isn't far enough along to show yet.

Pulse 486 + PSDs + WIPs

Okay, here's the heroes in this story.  I switched out Tabitha for Lucy because I thought Tabitha wouldn't let Annie go rogue enough.  This is meant to be Annie's first story against a villain.

That last chapter with the tour around town and the hot springs wasn't originally planned.  The comic was going to go from Annie upgrading her suit to here.  But I thought I needed a better transition instead of just having hard jumps like I tend to do accidentally.

Okay, some sketches-

• Lucy in a bathing suit.  I might try to make it with a black background and black bathing suit?
• Rikku.  I thought this pose and expression came out really well.

• Lulu from Final Fantasy.  I think the face turned out well, but the body, and especially the breasts need to be redrawn.

Pulse 486 WIP 5

I colored the finished parts of the page even though I hadn't finished that one panel.  I guess it's kind of a trick to avoid rushing the one panel, to do the next steps with the rest to decrease the amount left to complete.

Narration from Annie returns.  I'm not sure why I haven't included it the last few years, but I originally took it away during the sleepwalker arc when parts of the story took place when Annie wasn't around, then she was a sleepwalker too, then there was the long flashback about the Silver Dragon.

Pulse 485 WIP 4

Here's what I've got so far.  The first page of the chapter, two security guards patrol a tech company.  They pass a robot guard dog, commenting it's unbeatable.  Then they hear a loud noise and find it in pieces and a storage area ripped open and the contents missing.

This still needs the extra coloring steps, I need to write the dialog and letter it.

Maximum Max 15 WIP 3

Sam says goodbye to Max.  Not exactly sure what they are going to say yet.  I suspect Sam doesn't correctly guess what's Max's problem.

Pulse 485 WIP 3

Okay, the first page of chapter 38 "Gremlin".

Two security guards talk about how they don't have to worry because the company bought this robot dog from the military that can take out almost anything.  Then they hear and loud noise and see that it's broken up, and one of the storage areas has been ripped open and the contents are missing.

The end of chapter 37.  Maybe I should have had Annie in her swimsuit in the last panel to put them all in strange outfits.

I had a number of different alternative ideas for this, including that Tabitha had tricked them into going into the mens area of the hot springs, that Lucy and or Jesse were there too, or Tabitha ended with story about herself that had to be fake making her story from the last page seem less believable.  --But this option connected to the beginning.

Pulse 484 WIP 3

In the last panel, I'm going to put Tabitha in her Sailor Venus outfit, and maybe Charlotte in a kimono, but that makes me wonder if I should have put Annie in the bathing suit she wore earlier in the comic.

I made Annie's head smaller in panel 5 and now I think it screws up her proportions and I should change it back.

Nami Picture

Trying to decide how to handle the likeness.  Her face is really round, and I tried that with the sketch, but I've tried a less-round face with the inks.  It still needs some tweaks, I don't think it's just right yet.

I'm going to draw tiny versions of all of the crew around her (you can see it better with the sketch).  Hopefully there will be some sign about Carrot if to include her or not.

These are pages in the next chapter.  I had already posted the wips for the pages in-between.

A robot guard dog is attacked at a tech complex- then the power goes out when Annie, Lucy, and Charlotte are the elevated train.  Annie sends out a drone, and it's attacked by something.

So here we are on these pages-

Charlotte puts in her costume while Annie uses her ring to put on her suit.  Charlotte says that she's going to start flying the stranded passengers dow...

Maximum Max 15-21 WIP

Okay, here's my plan for the next few pages-

I haven't exactly decided about the dialog for these first two panels.  It kind of depends on Max.  Is she only just realizing she'd like to be bigger, has she always felt less than the other family members and Sam knows about it, or has she always felt less and kept it a secret.

So we have Max and Sam ending their day together, then Max strips down and tries to come to terms with herself.  She's flirty and confident, so ...
