Pulse 421 + WIPs

One of the hardest things to draw is a big bra that someone isn't wearing.  You never know if it looks like it's the right size.

I think this is the second page that was started on the Android tablet before transferring the file to the PC.  The first two WIPs were on the tablet, the rest on the PC.

I wanted Tabitha to first make things better, and then accidentally make things worse.  ...or make the appearance of what happened not be totally cleared up.

Not sure how far along I'd judge this page, maybe 70% penciled?  Although some of what's left is more complex, so maybe 60% done?

I'm not sure what I think of the bottom two panels.  It's a little too cute and flirty.  I thought Annie would say in the last panel, "My eyes are up here."

My alternative would be to have Tabitha point at Annie in panel 5 and say "You think he was cheating- but if the bra fits, you must acquit!"

Then in the last panel Tabitha would say "I should have a layer, I've got the legs for those short skirts".

Sketch Dump and WIPs

A lot of sketches and WIP pictures.  Some of these are inked and just need color, others aren't as far along.

I'm guessing most of these will be easy to identify?  The first three are Eve, then three of Annie, then Grace, then Captain America, then Rikku, then two of Tabitha, then Tifa, and then Y'shtola.

This is the first page to start out on the Android tablet.  I drew the first three WIPs on it, and then transferred the file to the PC and started inking and finishing it.

I've been waiting for the right time to introduce Jessica Chang to the story.  I wanted her to be the last person to see Annie in her super-body.  Also I wanted to wait until they were starting to meet some of the B-Class heroes, considering she is Mastermind.

Okay, since the previous WIP, I transferred the file from my Android tablet to my PC and started inking and completing the penciling in a few places.

I'm trying to give subtle hints that Annie's Mom is Mastermind here.  Her belt is an "M" just like Mastermind, and I suspect her helmet is in the bag.

You're getting this a little early than everyone else.  ComicFury is really slow right now for some reason, so I'm going to wait a few hours to upload the comic anywhere else.

I kind of have two different paths after this, and I'm trying to decide between them.  One option is that they give up for the day and Annie goes back to building new drones.  The other is that Annie's Mother shows up.  Both kind of end up in the same place.

Part of the reason to get the Android tablet was to get a portable device that could split up the work I usually can only do at my computer.  So I thought I'd try doing a comic on the tablet too.  Even though at some point I'd switch the file to the PC and complete it.

I'm not sure what I think of his page yet.  I'm worried the pace is too slow compared to previous pages.

VDSD 2021

A picture for the 2021 VDSD.  I started with a "Birth of Venus" idea but with tech, and it became kind of part of her suit being assembled on her.

I drew this on the Galaxy Tab S6 lite and then colored it on my computer.  I'm not sure if it looks different or not.  I think I might have the brushes too thick?
