Getting close to the end here, just a couple more pages.  When this is over, there will be some kind of big choice here about what's the next mini-series.  It could be about Pulse, or something else.  Although I guess one option could be to focus on just Maximum Max and not divide between two Patreon comics.

So they go to sleep, and Annie wakes up alone.  Lucy's dress and backpack are left behind.  She follows footprints and finds Lucy popping out of the water.<...

Considering I couldn't start this until today, I'm sure this'll end up being late.

I was planning to segway to Annie for the last three pages of the chapter, but I think I'll stick with Mira and then make the entire next chapter about Annie.

The dialog here needs some tweaking.

An update about how this is going.

I thought about it, and it didn't make sense for them to be nude here.  There's tension between them, and I thought they'd both be defensive, not relaxed.  Maybe I'll try to slip in something before the end with some more skin, if it's one of the final pages, an alternative version of a page, or a picture.

Maximum Max 6

Does the crowd look strange?  I worried about fully drawing a crowd that it might be harder to spot Max, but it looks a little odd now.

The title is "big sister" (in the chestiular sense), but after designing Sam, she looks more like the younger sister.  Max is about 25, so maybe Sam is 24ish?

Pulse 408

This is Simon, designed to be Mira's love interest (Grace is Arim's love interest).  He was going to just be a human, but I thought I needed to make him look more interesting.  What I wanted was for Mira to be the aggressive tough one, and him the more shy submissive one.

What I'm trying to go for here is that it's not yet clear if she's just trying to manipulate him, or if she's interested in him.

Moving along.  I'm trying to find a balance with Mira here that it's not yet clear if she's really into Simon, or if she's trying to manipulate him.

This guy is Mira's eventual love interest.  I'm trying to go for a shy guy and an aggressive girl.  It almost seems like she's bulling him.  They were close in the past when she acted differently, and Arim wasn't yet a cyborg and still just a sick girl.  Mira was turned into a cyborg first, and Arim had to wait a few years.  Mira even had a body that was less built then.  She was a thin nice girl back then.  That was her prototype body.  Arim probably h...

I can't quite decide how to dress them here, so I thought I'd ask for thoughts about it.

It's not clear what happened to the bathing suits they were wearing earlier, they might have left them behind when they dressed up like the super-villains.

They could be wearing-

• The super-villain outfits.
• Maybe they had backup bathing suits (that look different than the previous ones) in their backpacks?
• Some combination of the super-villain outfits and the cloth...

Does it seem strange that the missing parts of Lucy's costume (boots, helmet, cape) aren't laying on the sand in the last panel?  I originally thought they might not be standing in the same place as the last page, but now I wonder about it.

Day Off No Matter What pages 17-19 WIP

Some rough plans here for the next few pages.  I want Lucy to be mad at Annie, but not too mad considering this is meant as a fun comic.  The moral here is that Annie did deceive Lucy, but she was right that Lucy would enjoy it if she went, but wouldn't go if it was her own choice.

The next page Annie wakes up in morning to find Lucy missing.  Lucy has already gone swimming to look at the remains of the underwater lair, and finds that it's mostly intact.  Only parts ...

Maximum Max 6 WIP

Trying to figure out what Samantha should look like.  I didn't follow my original plan exactly.  Sometimes the characters turn out a little different and you consider changing your plans about them.

I wonder if she looks younger than Max?  I had planned for her to be a year or two older, but maybe she should be a year or two younger?

I'm not sure if I made Sam too busty?  It's a careful calculation.  She needs to be big enough over Max that Max is bothered...

A little NSFW Pulse comic.  Something like this was requested, and I wanted to make something that seemed in character.

I made Annie a lot bustier in panel 2 because I thought she wasn't big enough.

Considering Mira has been gone so long, she needs to get some of the spotlight.  She's the leader of the "B" team, and she's not as bad as she seems.  I have a whole backstory for her and Arim, but that's probably for later.  Evilyn's situation is more urgent.

Evilyn has been confined because she has a dangerous power she kept secret.  Clearly, the rest of her team already knew.

Xom WIP

Trying to give her a more updated likeness, any thoughts?  Went back to the original 2009 picture of her to use as the basis.  At the time, I drew her more anime-like (the style I used for Peeved and the Adept).  This version is drawing her in a more Pulse-like style.

(Those hands need a lot of work.)

I also included a more canon-ish version.

I don't disagree that she usually has a much stronger personality, but I did decide to keep her expression.  I kind of felt like especially with the big one that's she'd reached some satisfied place.  Like she's proud and doesn't even need to brag.  I tried other expressions and nothing felt right.

Also one of my reference shots was from one of the older Slayer anime movies and she had this kind of pleasant expression in it....

Mega-Naga

Any thoughts on how this is going so far?  Looking back at the few times I've drawn Naga, I'm not sure I've ever been happy with them.

Busty enough?  Too busty?  I wonder if I should make two versions of this, one canon-ish, one mega-busty.

Pulse 407 WIP 2

I think Mira's proportions seem a little off here somewhere.  She's 5' 7", so she shouldn't be as big headed as Annie and Lucy, but also not proportioned as 5' 9" Tabitha.  Her head to body ratio looks totally different in panel 1 compared to panel 5.  To me, she looks like Annie height proportions in panel 1, and Tabitha height proportions in panel 5.

I also have to look back and see how tall Nigel was compared to Arim.  I don't think he and Mira have ever stood sid...

Pulse 407 WIP 1

What I'm trying to do here is humanize Mira a bit.  She's used to being cold and strong, so any breaks in that mask must be something huge.  A lot of huge things have happened while she was gone.  I also want to show that she's more mature than Arim.  She's the leader of their team, she has to be smart.  She was also the leader of a team were both of the other members had huge weaknesses.

I need to alter the transition in-between the last two panels a bit.  ...

Bounce Test WIP

I started making this a year ago for my NSFW Twitter, they wanted a wardrobe malfunction with Annie.  I tried to come up with something that seemed like it could be canon, and would make sense with the character.

It fell through the cracks though and I never completed it.  I thought I'd put a little time into it and see if I can get it close to finished.

The person with Annie is Jesse the girl from the comic store she visits.

This scene with her will probably only last a few pages and then go to Annie to finish out the chapter.  My goal with Mira here is to have her deal with the aftermath of the sleepwalker arc on her team.  Arim is wrecked, and there are complications in several senses to repairing her- and Evilyn is missing.  She'll have to...

I'm ahead on this, so I'll stop here today and work on something else.  I have to remember to remind myself if Mira has an earring on the left or right, and not forgot to add it.  They each have one of their mother's earrings and have one them on opposite sides.

I think this is the first time either Mira or Arim have worn pants in the comic.  I once planned a rule that they would always wear a dress or skirt, but decided to break that.
