Some frustrating stuff happened in my personal life and so I wanted to draw characters brawling lol. What better pair for that than Mu Qing and Feng Xin from TGCF!
I've included process steps of this drawing too. I think I need to explore this style more, it's very satisfying and fun to draw. Sketch, linework, then colour and greyscale versions.

This is going to be relevant to the story later, but this is a photo of an event that Dr. Li Yun and his research team did a couple of years back during the start of a semester year to attract new students LOL
You can see Li Yun, Jiangwen, and Tanlin here. The other three... I made up randomly, but possibly may make an appearance later in the far future. We'll see!

I'm quite happy with how all of these turned out. The one with the birds flying across the sky originally did not have those birds. I was very dissatisfied with this one at first, because it looked so boring, but as I was wondering what to do, I saw from my window a whole city of crows suddenly flying across the sky.
Inspiration happens everywhere, just keep your eyes open!

A very rough sketch animation of my next personal animation gif illustration!!
I need to polish the animation a bit more but I think I got most of the skeleton done. I might need some more in betweens...

The grass movement isn't perfect but any more time spent on this is just diminishing returns, so I'll leave it here. I'm quite proud of it tho :) just a little taste of an alternate universe where my comic gets animated in the style of Ghibli :')

Hope you guys like the outcome! I think the focal points are pretty clear - Bailin and Li Yun have the most contrasting colours, and adding a slight atmosphere also cheats the focal point more towards them.
I'm gonna slap on the title and stuff for when I release it on Webtoon in a couple weeks.

I should be posting the final product next wed! I think the biggest problem I need to solve with this image right now is that I need to make Bailin and Li Yun a clearer focal point. The BG characters are making things a little noisy. I think some clever placement of atmosphere and colour adjustments will fix this issue

I'm going to draw a new cover art for my Bailin and Li Yun Webtoon! This marks the arc where Bailin has grown legs and the period where he's getting used to them. This is the rough draft for it. I'm going to need to hammer out the perspective and details later. Hopefully I can get it to linework stage next week...
