New Beginnings - Chapter 44

After calling about his website, sending some pictures for the web page, and hashing out some of the finer details; such as sending the contacts to sign, color schemes, and a personal rundown of changes he could make on his end once the website was done… several hours had passed.

Joyce had left to explore the ranch with some of her pokemon, spending her day not by his side. That was perfectly fine, as he had plenty to do by himself as well. As he closed his laptop, his front doo...

Pallesia - Chapter 161 - Alone time.

It’s been two weeks since Lee had found himself stuck in Emerson, and it was finally dawning on him that there wasn’t going to be a portal—or any easy way for him to return back to Felispar. At first, he hadn’t accepted the fact that both his uncle and Arcani left him here, but he was having to face the facts.

Either Fatalina was withholding the location of his return trip, or it didn’t exist.

For these past weeks, Lee had healed, taught, and basically done w...

“One more time Shuckle! Then, you’re free to collect the berries!” Ethan shouted with cupped hands, as Shuckle gave him a resolute nod.

They were just finishing up their training, and for Shuckle, it was him using Power Split against Chansey. Chansey was one of the weakest physically attacking pokemon, so Ethan was hoping that Shuckle could get a feel for how strong an opponent was when he used to the move. The wider range of experience he had, the better he could judge how ...

New Beginnings - Chapter 42

Ethan shielded his eyes from the bright white light. It didn’t take a genius to know that the egg was hatching, but he would be lying if he said he wasn’t surprised by the gleaming light which was identical to an evolution. He heard sounds of cracking eggshells, excited murmurs from all the surrounding pokemon, Nurse Joy squealing like a little girl in happiness, and lowered his arm just in time to see the white light morphing into the shape of a pokemon.

Ethan waited for the ...

Lo and behold, Munchlax had woken up before Joyce deemed herself ready to function—the non morning person that she is. Ethan had gathered Chatot and Pachirisu just in case Munchlax wasn’t as friendly and carefree as the PocketDex said they were, but thankfully, th...

Pallesia - Chapter 160: Kindness.

Lee and Hank walked down the busy streets of Emerson toward the large colosseum off in the distance. He hadn’t exaggerated when he realized Emerson was a replica of Selldun. The offices, buildings, streets, everything was the same. After asking Hank if he knew why this was the case, Hank said. “Soldiers aren’t very smart. If we learn the layout of one of the fortress cities, we’ve learned them all.” Which was a fair statement. It wasn’t something Lee would have thought of, but he ...

Didn't get the time to edit this one. Might be spelling errors and other miscellaneous grammar mistakes. I'm about to pass out.

Pallesia - Chapter 159 - Targeting

Drendros, the ancient green dragon of woes and waste, glared balefully at the mass of corpses alayed out in front of him. Roughly a third of the mages he’d used for this ritual died on the spot, drained of every ounce of mana contained within their pitiful forms. Then, when there were no more, the ritual took their lifeforce instead.

Without craning his neck to the side to look at one of the more useful humans in their cage, a young female seer, he commanded his answer. “Is he...

Pallesia Notification. Break is over.

As title says, the break for Pallesia is over. The next chapter will be this Saturday. I still have the same feelings about the book as when I took the break, but I'm refreshed mentally. I will say now, so that nobody is blind sided should my current thoughts come to pass... Pallesia might be going on a hiatus at the end of book 3.

For a long time.

Personally, I'm of the mindset that I could just do... better. Much better. Being new to writing at the start of Pallesia r...

A:N. ------ At the end of this chapter, there is a long contract which I spent way too much time working on. I think it sounds silly, but maybe it's just me being too critical about my own writing. I also probably forgot a good few bits of information to add to it. So......

If you want to help me draft and add in clauses and conditions, tweak or otherwise change the contract, please join the discord and help out in the Patreon channel for New Beginnings.

New Beginnings - Chapter 38

“You okay up there, Chatot?” Ethan said with a raised voice as he and Nurse Joy listened to the faint ticking of the metronome atop his home.

♫ Chaa-tooot! ♫”

“You wanna come say hi to Nurse Joy?”

♫ Chaa-tooot! ♫”

Ethan waited a few seconds, waiting for his tropical bird to fly on down for a greeting, but that moment never came. “Was that a no?”

“There’s not a thought going on behind those eyes, is there?” Nurse Joy said kindly to the small blue and green pokemon held outwards in her arms. The Lotad’s small nub legs flailed in happiness as it gurgled and gave a gummy smile.

She placed the lily-pad pokemon down and rubbed its belly as it wiggled. “It’s alright, Ethan. All Lotads are like that. There’s not too many pokemon who become much more cognizant when they evolve, but Lotad is one of them. They remember every...

New Beginnings - Chapter 36

The next day, after finally finishing tutoring Gogoat and Growlithe, Ethan stood in his kitchen, cleaning the dishes from the afternoon lunch he’d made for himself and all the pokemon who stayed at his ranch.

Ethan idly gazed outside the window as he washed, watching Blitzle and the two newly taught pokemon, Gogoat and Growlithe, play in the meadow. They were playing a game of tag, which left Growlithe being the tagger most of the time, not that he cared at all, as he could run ...

IMPORTANT: Pallesia - Notification.

Life has been... rough recently. I think I'm in need of a small break. Every time a Pallesia chapter is due, I sit and look at a blank page for an hour wondering what to write. It also doesn't help that I'm sick, basement flooded, and my mother isn't doing so well with the loss of her Aunt.

With the recent release of my Pokemon Fanfiction, which was originally just a side project to write for fun, a lot of things have crossed my mind when it comes to Pallesia. I've spent one and a h...

As the night went on with discussions of magic, spells, and professions, Lee realized that it was about time for him to find his own place to sleep. It’d been a long day, and he’d grown quite drained from the conversations with his new friend, Captain Karlyle.

Ethan stood at the exit to his plot of land and waved away the three Simis and their trainers with a smile on his face. The three monkeys were hopping around excitedly, swinging their arms as their face scrunched up and thin streams of fog arose from their bodies—The move Work-Up in effect.

With these three leaving, all of those who stayed at his ranch had left. It’d been two days since Ethan had a small heart to heart with Pachirisu, and although a small amount of time had pa...

Pallesia: Chapter 157 - The Captain.

A few hours later, Lee sat inside Captain Karlyle’s temporary home. Apparently, the captain was the man in charge of running the logistical operations here in Selldun. He was usually the highest ranking officer, but with Fatalina being around because of Lee, she took that position. Still, that didn’t magically make his duties disappear, and Lee felt like he was a little-bit of a bother at the moment.

As Captain Karlyle had been stationed here permanently, he had a home to call...

“Well, that sounds ominous.” Ethan said as he released Chatot from her pokeball under the warm water. To his surprise and relief, most of the ice which had coated her had faded away. He would have to question if the inside of her pokeball was wet later, and how this even happened in the first place… actually, asking her about thermodynamics probably wouldn’t be wise.

Cynthia leaned against the doorframe as she watched Ethan care for his pokemon. “From what I was told, ou...

Pallesia: Chapter 156 - Captain Karlyle

After two hours of repeating the same thing he’d been repeating for the last few weeks to other members of the military, Lee was finally finished with this large batch of new healers. He stored his spell book, notes, and another cast of Life Dew into his Hidden Cache, storing them for later.

As he watched the horde leave the auditorium, the man who had been speaking with Fatalina when he entered, approached and offered up ...

Ethan continued to oversee the training of the pokemon for another few hours. He’d occasionally give some words of advice, which were probably completely wrong, but his words did appear to help… sometimes.

Gogoat was a shining example. The previously floundering goat was not well on its way toward mastering the move Bulldoze. Currently, the leafy goat was doing laps around his ranch, kicking up dirt and debris as its cloven hooves cause the ground around to shake and quake.  View Post

At the campground, where all the trainers staying at his ranch were still getting their moods back to normal after the morning catastrophe, Ethan hurried up to Joji, wallet in hand. “Joji!” He yelled and waved down the Noctowl trainer, who jerked at the exclamation of his name.

“I have a favor to ask. I’m fresh out of pokeballs, and I need three of them. I’ll give you fifty thousand cash if you can part with them.”

Joji’s shocked and slightly worried expression...

Pallesia: Chapter 154 - Irreparable damage

Lee followed Fatalina down the clean hallways of the large military hall as she speed-walked as if on a mission. He assumed she had a good deal of dexterity, as her movements appeared to be casual, but her standard walking speed was just… too fast to be normal. Deciding to use his new found Chromatic Intuition, he Identified her.

Since Ethan had arrived in the world of pokemon, he’d been awoken by many things. Weird noises in the night, the sounds of wild pokemon battling, the poofs of sweet scent, the leaking of rain through his makeshift cabin… but he’d never woken up to a face full of fire-dog slobber—Until now.

“Gro!”

Ethan sleepily fended off the abnormally strong pokemon feebly as he did his best to hide beneath his covers. “Stop…”

After eating lunch, rounding up the playing pokemon, and finishing the afternoon training, Ethan was feeling pretty drained. Emotionally, that is.

Previously, he’d been tutoring pokemon one-on-one or in small groups—The Oddish and their dances were a good example. While the simi’s fit into that subsection of prior experience, bouncing between several different pokemon, who were each attempting to learn their own unique moves, wasn’t anything he was used to.

As Ethan ...

Pallesia: Chapter 153 - Shock and awe

Fatalina Castana wasn’t a human. Or at least, wasn’t fully human. It was difficult to tell, but after having lived around the Dark Elves for months on end and seeing the group of Wood Elves earlier in the day, Lee was confident that she wasn’t an elf—not fully. Her ear wasn’t long enough, for one.

As Lee inspected Fatalina, she was doing the same to him. Her fierce silver eyes flicked across his face and clothes as she leaned her elbows on the desk in front of her, caref...
