The Russian Ministry of Defense has been reporting repeated Ukrainian attacks toward Svatove, and claiming total victory in each report - including yesterday.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Karmazynivka, Myasozharivka and Nevske in the Luhansk and Novosadove in Donetsk are liberated.
GSAFU policy is not to announce liberations until the settlements are under Ukrainian fire control, which indicates that Ukrainian forces are further east.

While embedded with a Russian (likely Donetsk People's Republic 1st Army Corps) military unit, WarGonzo frontman Semyon Pegov stepped on an anti-personnel mine, badly injuring his foot.
He is expected to survive, barring major complications, but the video of him being removed from a Russian infantry fighting vehicle (which raises a lot of questions) shows that he has probably lost all his toes at the minimum.

After angry rhetoric from the Kremlin in late September, we're gone back a step or two on the Mutually Assured Destruction Instability Paradox. The two talking to each other with provided readouts is a good sign that the adul...

As always, if major events occur, we'll burn the late-night oil to cover them. Short of World War III starting between 5 PM to 10 PM PDT, don't expect a flash report. Come to think of it, being in downtown Seattle I won't know about it anyway.

Russia is buying ballistic missile systems from Iran, which is a game changer.
