The cheapest rental car I could find at Logan Airport from my trip was $475 a day. No, that's not a typo. I don't want to buy a car, just borrow one for a few days. The Kersch Bridge, the vital Line of Communication (GLOC) from Russia to Russian-occupied Crimea, has been severely damaged. The rail section is engulfed in flames, and at least one of the highway sections has collapsed into the Black Sea. There is a massive uncontrolled fire on the structure. There are reports a Russian supply chain was on the bridge at the time of the explosion. Video confirms that at least one section has been destroyed.

On July 28, we wrote about how the campaign in Kherson would take months and resemble the Pacific Theater of World War II for the United States and an island hopping campaign. This assessment was based on one assumption. Russian forces retreated and blew the bridge into Dudchany. They also destroyed an earthen dam south of the town.
You don't blow up bridges if you're planning to come back.
This does not isolate Russian troops in northern Kherson but it complicates logistics and eliminated one of three main Ground Lines of Communication (GLOC, supply line) into northern Kherson.

Myrolyubivka [Kherson], northwest of Kherson is liberated, with Ukrainian forces raising the flag over the debris that was once a Ukrainian town.
We do not know the status of Pravdyne and we are not prepared to call it liberated. If Russian troops are still there, they are at extreme risk of complete encirclement.

Pictures show that Ukrainian troops have liberated Mykhailivka on the Dnipro River. In the Situation Report it was one the only settlement between Dudchany and Zolota Balka we could not report on.

Ukrainian airborne troops are in Borova.
The village of Shylkivka to the east also has videos of Ukrainian troops moving through the settlement unimpeded.
Borova was the last strong point of the original Putin Line on the east bank of the Oskil River. Ukrainian forces are now within 30 to 35 kilometers of Svatove in directions and advancing all on axes.

Ukrainian forces moved into Lyman in three directions after the Russian defense collapsed. There is no information on prisoners of war or if Russian forces retreated through Torske, which is under Ukrainian fire control and was embattled itself.
Ukrainian military command reported that heavy artillery bombardment of Rubizhne, Lysychansk, and Severodonetsk had begun, and there was significant fighting around Kreminna overnight.

Russian troops in Drobysheve, Lyman, and maybe Yampil (keep reading) and fully encircled. The small gap where Ukrainian forces have yet to link up is mined, under Ukrainian fire control, and has special operation forces operating. The Zherberts River is enough of a barrier for equipment but not personnel, the southern end of the reservoir is a natural barrier.
