We've been talking for AGES about updating the Patreon properly and finally took the first step in updating the landing page! People who are already patrons probably wouldn't regularly see that, so here's some higher resolution versions of the new spot illustrations on the front page of the Johnny Wander Patreon!! I'm still on Chapter 8 colors!!!!! But ALL of the flats are in for the entire chapter (thanks to Charlie Davis, thank you Charlie!!!!)

These are the flat colors (so the colors aren't final!) but I wanted to show off some callbacks to chapter 4. :) There's going to be some fun flashbacks in this chapter. :)

The Minotaur: KS sticker progress

YAY I loved designing the minotaur's sticker! I generally love drawing him, and doing geometric designs is a treat I don't normally have.

The concept behind this one was a contained angular spiral, following his right-most arm around his back, down his other arm, up his leg to his face. Something that brings the eye to the head in the center while also giving the idea of something large being constrained. You can see the spiral pattern especially in the original thumbnail sketches.

WAH I realized I haven't shared the stickers done for the CH5 kickstarter anywhere! The first several waves of shipping have gone out/been received so I feel like enough people have been sharing pics of their Ch.5 bundles I should be good to share the process for the kickstarter stickers.

someone pointed out that Ganondorf's design from Tears of the Kingdom is obviously inspired by the buddhist deity Fudo Myo-o and I blacked out and woke up like 3 hours later???

I tried to pretty much follow only depictions and reproductions of jewelry and garments from buddhist statues (with some fudging with his hairstyle and the magatama on his forehead) and like, ok yeah that's still obviously his design from ToTK

Chapter 8: Leeds and Ruby paper dolls

Ohohoho here's Leeds and Ruby as they'll appear in Barbarous Chapter 8!

Ananth gave me a pretty specific outfit for Leeds in the script notes (Percy has bitten him with the athleisure bug) but he let me do whatever with Ruby so I DID >:D I've been trying hard to give her big 'turn of the century globetrotting cowboy who is also Farrah Fawcett and also The Boss from MGS' vibes. Was I successful, no one can say.
