Chapter 9
While he was tempted to look at all the loot he’d acquired, that was of less importance to him than his awaiting message feed that he’d been putting off throughout basically the entirety of the Crestline Gorge Intermediate Dungeon. With a deep breath, he opened it up and was immediately shocked with some changes to his body, before being inundated with messages that he quickly moved to the top of so that he could see if there was anything that might be o...

Chapter 8
Thaden watched impassively as the last of the monsters from the first wave approached him only to die in midstride when they reached the range of his Wild Health Leach. When the last of them had died, the slab of stone covering the entrance slid back into the ground, revealing the way back – if he chose to go through it.

Chapter 7
The second section Thaden walked into was quite different from the first, as it was more of a lengthy crevice approximately 70 feet wide, and ran for the length of what seemed like a mile. The walls were high enough on either side that the sun from above hid half of the crevice in deep shadow along his right side. It was from this shadowed portion of the section that the monsters appeared, seeming forming from nothing, but in actuality they emerged fro...

Chapter 6
As Thaden walked forward into the Minimal-difficulty Intermediate Crestline Gorge dungeon, he expected to be attacked almost instantly. Instead, it wasn’t until he had walked nearly 500 feet into the large, open space that greeted him upon entry that something finally happened.
The ground rumbled a bit under his feet as 3 forms rose from the dirt-covered rock of the area approximately 100 feet away from him, lifting up until they towered up to ...

The new Healer book has begun! I'm making some good progress already and I'm looking forward to getting back to it on Sunday.
An audiobook update:
The audiobook for Undisguised Healer is done and edited, but there are a few pickups that Miles has to do to finish it completely. Unfortunately, after already being hit by Covid about...

Chapter 5
A change in the appearance of the dungeon entrance startled him out of his work with the Plates, which he hadn’t finished attaching to his equipment quite yet. Looking up at it, Thaden realized that his turn was up, and the impatient and annoyed comments from the Guild Raid Party behind him made him hurry his steps forward until he was right in front of the hazy barrier that marked the entry to the Crestline Gorge Dungeon.
Stepping through the barrie...

(Finally giving you all some answers to what was in those mystery boxes at the end of the last book!)
Chapter 4
As part of his rewards from reaching #89 in the Rankings for Quest Completions, Thaden received a Legendary Rarity Necklace and a Legendary Rarity Ring; he’d taken a quick look at them earlier but hadn’t replaced his current equipment with them yet because he hadn’t taken the time to compare them. He pulled up what he was currentl...

Opening his Character Report, the first thing that Thaden looked at were his base stats. Not only did he have 60 Free Stat Points to spend on whatever he wanted, but he’d also received 240 consumable Free Stat Stones that he’d received as a prize from the yearly announcement.

Chapter 2
That’s a lot of people.
The last time he had gone to the Crestline Gorge Dungeon with Gregory and his party, there had been a line leading up to the entrance, and they had been forced to wait for their turn; it hadn’t been that much of a hardship, as there couldn’t have been more than 50 people waiting for their turn at one time.
Now, however, there were at least 10 times that number. The previous “line” that had held the diffe...

Chapter 1
Thaden reeled back in surprise; he couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
“No, we have absolutely no desire to add you to our Guild, even on a trial basis. You would be a detriment to any Raid Party that you joined.”
Standing across from the Level 165 Mage Class, who was actively recruiting inside the Rageharbor Adventurer Coalition for the Vibrance Guild, he could feel his mouth gaping open in shock. After a few seconds, he snapped it...

Recap
Thaden was ripped away from Earth by the Assimilation System, but on his way to some sort of “Training Program”, something went wrong. His bodily disposal went horrifically wrong, and he was burned, torn apart, and even eaten by monsters before his head ended up in a dungeon. In the end, the only fortunate part of all of it was that his body fully reconstituted itself automatically; that was poor recompense for what he went through, though, especially ...

According to the poll I did earlier today, which only confirmed my thoughts on the subject, I've decided to temporarily pause Fusionist Book 7 starting next week and beginning Healer Book 4. If you missed my explanation on the poll, this decision is mainly to ensure I can get Healer Book 4 done and published in late November or early December, as I really don't want to wait until January to get it out. Once the new Healer book is written, I'll be jumping right back into Fusionist Book 7 to ...

I've been thinking about this for the last week, so I thought I would get all of my Patrons' opinions.
Back in August, my original publishing schedule had been to finish the 7th Fusionist book near the end of September or early October; the book would then be published at the end of December. Once it was done, I planned to write the 4th Healer book, so that I could publish it near the end of November.
Unfortunately, my bad head cold in early September really put me behind in my w...

It took quite a few hours, but the house is done! We may end up turning the brightness of the house lighting, and there are a few things that aren't perfect yet, but at least 95% of the decorating is done.
And I even got away for my dentists appt, so it was a busy day.
Now that it's done, I can finally write a little tonight, and get some more chapters uploaded tomorrow!

The release of Corrupted SufFusion went well this week! I got a little bit written, but as usual, it wasn't quite as much as I usually get done on a non-release week. I'm hoping to get a bit done next week, though!
On October 1st, I'll be taking a half-day to put out Halloween decorations and I have a dentist appt, so there will likely not be anything posted, but I'll try
Here are my plans for next week:

Patrons!
I was wondering if there were any other offensive (attacking) Fusions that you'd like to see Larek create in this current book. To avoid any spoilers here, in the most recent chapter I leveraged some of his more recent discoveries to find a combination of offensive Fusions that would work to deal some incredible damage, but I'd love your opinion on some that I may have overlooked or that would be nice to see in the future. Especially on Royal Road, I frequently get asked why ...

I'm getting further and further into book 7, and now that I'm finally starting to feel a little better, I'm hoping to ramp up my writing speed in the coming weeks. Ideally, I would love to be done with it by the end of October, but we'll see!
Coming up next week, Corrupted SufFusion releases on September 25th, so I'll be promoting that on Wed/Thurs/Friday, with Wednesday almost wholly dedicated toward promotion, so there will likely be very little writing done that day.

(I was trying to get this chapter done yesterday, but it took a while to finish because of all the details -- be warned, there are a lot of notifications!)

Chapter 20
“So, the gang’s all together again, huh?” Penelope remarked, after everyone had somehow squeezed into Kimble’s office in the Volunteer headquarters building. “Tell me what you’ve been up to here.”
Larek stretched in his chair as he looked past the others, his mind focused on what he was going to work on later as his friends shared what they’d been up to over the last few years. He contributed a little bit here and there, but he...

Chapter 19
Setting The Hopper down in the field outside of the walls, Larek was relieved to see that Thanesh appeared relatively normal – and not like they were recovering from a sudden attack by the Gergasi. The flow of Transport traffic going in and out of the designated field for it was extremely busy, as were the gates with all the crowds moving through them in both directions, but he was beginning to see that this was “normal” for the city. What he th...

Chapter 18
“What do you mean? His magical signature is so thick here that I can practically wade through it! And you’re saying there’s not a trace of him leaving here? That’s impossible!”
Farmas was livid. Their prey had escaped them time and time again, somehow moving faster than them, despite clearly being much weaker. The magical signature that they had been following was strong enough to linger for hours, which meant that th...

Chapter 17
The general idea was relatively simple, but actually executing that idea was a bit more complicated. Fortunately, Larek wasn’t a novice Fusionist, so he had plenty of experience with developing Fusions to do what was previously thought impossible; as a result, he was able to apply everything he’d learned over the years creating Fusions to make this work for him.
Normally, all he needed for a basic Illuminate Fusion was the illuminati...

I got a little bit more written this week! Not as much as I hoped, as I'm still not fully recovered from my head cold, but I'm getting better.
Next week, I'll be working on finalizing Fusionist Book 6 for publication on Sunday and possibly Monday, as well as editing some of Book 7 for scheduling on Royal Road. I'll also be developing a plan for the cover of Book 7 so my cover designer can work on it, so all of that might take two days before it's complete.

Chapter 16
The camp was relatively subdued later that night, with good reason, as Larek finally got a chance to rest. They had moved approximately 100 miles away from Dreenwood after searching the destroyed ruins of the town, using Larek’s Pattern box construct for transport, and had made their camp just outside of an Aperture located in a dense forest. The Fusionist thought the proximity would help to camouflage his presence if the Gergasi came looking for hi...

Chapter 15
The welcome committee consisted of not only the Faction members stationed in Dreenwood, but also from the next nearest town, Wilfirth. The original reason for their congregation – as they quickly discovered – wasn’t necessarily because of Larek, Nedira, Penelope, or any of the Martials she was in charge of, but it was related.
“Did you feel that presence of power that moved through here a little over an hour ago?” a female Mage in a...

“Put it back in your pants, Balent,” Penelope said as she smacked the man she was talking to in the back of his head. “The rest of you, too. He just saved our lives, so stop being a dumbass.”
Even with how they seemed to defer to her, as if she was in charge, the Martials staring at Larek and Nedira didn’t seem to want to back down. “That may be, but they also hurt the two of you and took you away; that’s not something we can...

Chapter 13
“What did you do to them?! I will kill you!”
The same Martial that had been so distrustful of Larek, Balent (if he remembered the name correctly), shouted and then sprinted toward Nedira, who was now looking at Larek. Just as the man swung his sword at her, the Fusionist created a Pattern construct in front of his betrothed, which prevented the sword from doing anything but create a thunk as it slammed into the barrier.
