Painting experiment for a commission

I have a large real media painting I’m doing of a figure in a tropical setting and I did some experiments to see how I wanted the handle the pure gradients of the sky and water. 

The left one is a pale blue-white mix with a blue glaze over it. The best in terms of glowing color, but it’s so streaky, which offends my Virgo brain!!

Update on Eye stuff

I had another appointment today and nothing had changed over the last two weeks. So, this kind of thing is usually a one-off and will fade away between 2 and 6 months. Sometimes it can take as long as a year.

It's annoying but really doesn't obstruct my vision TOO badly.

Nirvana Sketches

So, I'm really no good at keeping up with my patreon request rewards. It's not something I do on purpose but like, before I know it the month has rushed by. 

So I'm just going to collect everyone's characters and doodle them whenever.

Salt Bowl

My roommate wanted to make some bowls for his fancy new salt so we got some air dry clay.

in college we had a visiting artist, David Huang, who made these amazing copper vessels with gold leaf inside and I just love the look so much. His are like, actual art and this is just me having a gradeschool ceramics day. Definitely check out his work. It’s amazing. 

So I may have a weird, rare eye disorder

Not for sure yet, but it's looking like white dot syndrome. I'm at the right age and sex to have it and so it's unlikely the other usual suspects: retinal tear, macular degeneration. 

Just now I have some seriously gnarly floaters, which are blobs in the vision. My right eye is worst, with two big fat floaters right near the center of my vision but thankfully not right OVER it or I'd be having a lot more trouble.

So I can make artwork but it's a little goofy. I'm like, squi...
