So I may have a weird, rare eye disorder
Added 2020-08-05 18:32:27 +0000 UTCNot for sure yet, but it's looking like white dot syndrome. I'm at the right age and sex to have it and so it's unlikely the other usual suspects: retinal tear, macular degeneration.
Just now I have some seriously gnarly floaters, which are blobs in the vision. My right eye is worst, with two big fat floaters right near the center of my vision but thankfully not right OVER it or I'd be having a lot more trouble.
So I can make artwork but it's a little goofy. I'm like, squinting and getting closer and further so I can get a read on details. It's like I'm looking through drunk goggles.
Floaters usually go away after a while, and/or the brain gets used to them and kind of creates internal work-arounds so you can actually see things. So I'm hoping that happens and I don't have the white dot that eventually blinds me. I'll find out more when I get to a specialist.
