RR Chapter 1 book reference sheet

RR Chapter 1 bonus comic preview!! Happy New Year!

Happy impending 2022 everyone! If you're like me, you had one hell of a weird year in 2021. Good riddance! Hopefully things SLOW DOWN A LITTLE and stop getting progressively worse. Here are the first 5 pages of a 14-page bonus comic that will be printed in the RR Chapter 1 book in early 2022! The book or the digital PDF will be the only place you can find the whole story, I won't be publishing it in full online anywhere. But that's like...literally the only thing I won't be publishing in full...

Finally?? Finished??? Maybe????

I've been fighting with this illustration for the better part of a month so I'm just calling it DONE NOW!! I think it's probably pretty good, but I am still very insecure when it comes to digital coloring (somehow, after making an entire 90 page fully-colored comic) so it's just very hard for me to feel satisfied with the final product!! I was also trying a bit of painting, which I'm VERY inexperienced with, so it was A STRUGGLE.

HEY, I got Covid! Oh no! I have some coughing, fatigue, and a really gnarly voice right now. I'm fully vaccinated but wasn't able to get my booster yet, so this is likely an Omicron breakthrough case (since I live in Massachusetts.) IT SUCKS!! Right now I'm recovering for a few days and taking it easy, I have to quarantine until at least the 27th. I'm hoping this passes without major incident, but I'm keeping a close eye on my health. Not sure what this will mean for the rest of the month her...

November Roundup #1

HOWDY! 

As with last month, November has been mostly grinding away at multiple projects, but I feel like I'm making pretty good headway on everything! My current focuses are getting the final illustrations and bonus rewards finished up for the Robber/Robert Chapter 1 Kickstarter, and finishing pencils for the softball graphic novel!

RR 4koma 3: FINAL

Really these comics have kinda been a test-run to see how the comic might look in grayscale with heavy inking, vs fully colored. Chapter 2 will probably look like this, which I hope is exciting to hear and not too disappointing! I think Chapter 1 looks amazing and I'm very proud of it but WOW DID IT TAKE A REALLY LONG TIME TO MAKE LOL. Nothing's set in stone yet, but that's the way things are looking right now! We'll see!

SPEAKING OF HAVING A CRUSH ON CHARACTERS WHO COULD CRUSH ME, hey, here's Venom for some reason?? I have always liked the character but the recent movies have just been EXTREMELY my jam. Venom is so horrible and cute, Eddie is sweaty and gross in every scene, they are in love. Thank you Mr. Tom Hardy for all your hard work.

You've probably heard me mention a few times that I'm trying to draw a few "4komas" to include in the printed Chapter 1 book. A 4koma usually has 4 similarly-sized panels in a stack, so I don't know if what I'm doing TECHNICALLY counts as 4koma, but there ARE 4 panels so...????

October's coming to an end and UNFORTUNATELY I have no plans to dress up myself! We have a wedding to attend this weekend, so we'll be out of state for Spooky Day. BUT, we did get Gannon's drag look totally finished and BOY WAS IT AWESOME! There weren't any Halloween parties to attend but we tromped around a nearby campus and delighted a bunch of party girls out having a fun night.

Thinking about RR Chapter 2

Lately I've been thinking about RR Chapter 2! The basic plot will be about Andy and Rob's first official date, so I guess this little vignette takes place like out front of the store while Rob is waiting to be picked up. 

Is this even a joke? I don't know. I spent way too much time on it but I thought it was a cute idea and wanted to jot it down. 

Rob has coworkers and they all care about this weird little horndog very much.
