The next chapter is written but I am fixing some errors. When I first described Thayle's sword I called it glitteroot. First of all I should have named it glitter root. Secondly at some point I started callling it silver rain which was mean to be a sword for Lilly. This just shows how tired I am sometimes while I write. I am going to mention Thayle's sword in the this chapter with the original name, please do not be confused. I have no idea how often I have called this sword silver rain in ea...

The room was quiet except for the muffled snores of a giant spider sleeping on a pillow. Heather stared at the ceiling, silently scolding herself for eating so many sweets before bed. She tried to convince herself the dream was just that a dream, but she knew it wasn't. Nothing that was happening was at random; instead, it seemed carefully crafted to draw her in. A puzzle teasing at her mind and daring her to solve it.
Her first instinct was to run away, deny...

The Father Abbot drummed his fingers on the table as the others entered the conference room. He glanced at Dellain, who sat to his right as the man cleared his throat. Mathius, his second in command, sat to his right, a face of stone betraying nothing of his thoughts. To his left stood the envoy of their master, a copper-skinned man with dark hair. He seemed to be remarkably calm in light of the news, a trait the Father Abbot found unsettling. As the priests of the various order...

I am 2600 words into the next chapter. I had a great nights sleep, and I have but one other task to do today that isn't writing. So I am hopeful it will be out later today.
I have decided to share what I have now as a teaser. It is 100% unedited. This is my rough draft before I fix the 200 mistakes I will find later, but I like what it says and how it ends and wanted to share it. I expect this chapter to swell to closer to 7k words by the time I am done. Anyway, here it is...

“That was harder than it needed to be,” Heather sighed as she slumped to the floor in the workshop.
They spent the better part of a day dragging Legeis's armor through the swamps. Every pest hidden in the mist made an appearance, including a giant crab thing with four claws. She lost seven skeletons, and one of her special vine ones. The bone champion was wounded three times, and she was low on magic again.
When they reached the cliffs, the ...

As before I am running behind. I am further along than I expected to be, but I will probably be a day late posting the next chapter. I also managed to get a terrible sliver in one of my fingers and now its painful to type with it. I still manage to type 1800 words, but it hurts.
Thank you all so much. I wouldn't have kept doing this without you.

Thayle walked boldly down the lane heading for the gates of the city. She decided not to wear her armor or robes of station, and instead slip in unnoticed in a plain dress. She carried her gear in her pack but hoped there would be no need to display them so soon.
Mordholm was an old city with thick walls and streets that looked tired all those years ago when she first visited. It hadn't changed much since the days of her youth, except the women in green armor...

Sorry for the delays. The chapter is written fully and through my first couple of editing passes. I am hoping to have it up in a few hours, but every time I say that something comes up and I can't work on it.
Anyway, its nearly a 10k chapter with a lot of foreshadowing. I like this one much better than the last one, though the last one really help set up a moment in this one.

So I am about 25% done writing the new chapter. I have goals I need to meet for this one, and some conflict to setup.
I will get this up as soon as I can. I am writing in twenty minute runs and taking breaks to let my wrist soothe. It's working but I like to write in long mad dashes of nonstop typing. Anyway, it's coming, sorry for the delay.

Dear Heather,
I know you are confused and looking for answers. I am sorry things had to be this way, but there was no other option. They can erase anything they want from the world, but we learned they don't understand necromancy and how the dead work. They copied it from games with little understanding of how it's used. This has opened up all sorts of doorways for us to hide things, even from them, and preserve what we have learned.
The key is the buff...

Chapter is fully written, I am beginning the clean up of it now. 2-3 hour is my guess, provided I don't take a break to rest my wrists. My wife had a wonderful idea of soaking my hands in water and epsom salts. She added some drops of lavender oil, and some other things as well. I have to say my wrists feel MUCH better now. I have been typing for hours and not feeling the strain until very recently. My left wrist still doesn't like to carry heavy loads, but that doesn't impede typing. <...

Sorry I haven't gotten Heather up yet. I had today off work so I decided to rest my wrist the days leading up to today and do all the writing today. However, my wife saw this day off as an opportunity to do some "quick" errands" I started doing these at 9AM, it is now 6PM and I only think I am finished.
I still managed to write 1k words of the next chapter but in doing so I discovered my wrist doesn't like being held the typing position for more than twenty minutes. This is causing me t...

Gersius sat in meditation with Lilly in his lap. Thayle was well on her way Mordholm and her absence left them both unsettled. It felt strange to have her so far away, her presence in the bind reduced to a distant pulling. She had to go though, her place in the order of Ulustrah demanded it. With Yarvine contesting who was ultimately in charge, Thayle needed to show Leadership. His only worry now was what Yarvine might attempt in her absence. He would speak to Mingfe later and a...

I am sure most of you are aware I shot myself with a nailgun and damaged my left wrist. As of right now I have most of my control back and I wrote 6k words today on the dragon knight. However, I don't expect to be finished with it for another day. So The chapter is delayed, but only for a short while.
Too bad too, because it is full of Sarah secrets. I have been looking forward to this chapter for awhile now, it marks a turning point in the story.
Anyway, I will get it up in...

Heather opened heavy eyes to a dark room. Her vision felt unfocused and slowly came together until she was looking up at red curtains. The only sound in the room was a gentle shrill snore from Webster lying by her feet. A foggy mind labored to remember what happened, how had she gotten here? Her muscles felt slow to respond, almost delayed, as she sat up and looked about a very unfamiliar bedroom.
It was full of ornate and decorative furniture, from the white marbl...

I was injured st work today and have temporarily lost the use of my left hand.
Heather is written and I am in the editing but it's going much slower.
I am hoping to have it up tonight, but it might not be until tomorrow. I posted the royalroad chapter with a description of the incident if your curios.
I am told I will recover fully so no worries, just a small delay.

Thayle took a deep breath as Sarah headed away from camp, soaring through the sky on mighty wings. Doubts and worries plagued her mind, reminding her of how delicate the situation was. She wasn't sure what to do about Gersius and his explosive battle with Yarvine. All that she could agree on was that she was grateful to be away, to clear her mind. Unfortunately, there was a new issue at hand, one that was told in the light of Sarah's aura, as it flashed with a myriad...

Sorry I posted to wrong version of the chapter, and I meant to save it as a draft not publish it. That chapter has a story line in it I don't want to use. I tend to write my chapters by allowing myself to go where I feel it would go, but that was written to explore an idea I am not going to use. So if you managed to read it, and are upset, don't worry that doesn't happen.

Heather rounded a corner and then dived back as a ball of fire raced her way. She scrambled away as the ball hit the wall and exploded, the intense heat causing her to cover her eyes. The flames subsided seconds later, leaving a burned ring on the wall.
“Alright, he still has magic, and I have this,” she said, looking at her scythe. “I can sprint but can’t close the gap fast enough.” She dared to peek around the corner and ducked back before the cor...

The meeting went on for hours as Gersius organized his command structure. Gams was his second in command and would oversee the day to day operations of the army. He would also organize the forces into fighting units according to how Gersius planned to use them. The women of Ulustrah would be organized under Thayle and as a separate army, and she would appoint her own commanders.
Yarvine attempted to put herself into that position and suggested she should appoint th...

Alright, some heads up. I am nervous about this chapter, so before I spend hours editing it and cleaning it up, I wanted some feedback. I am going to post it here for you to read and would love to know if this is too sharp a shift in tone, or if it feels right to explore these sorts of things. I will rewrite the chapter if people think this is to dramatic a shift in tone, or you have other issues with it. If people like it I will clean it up and repost it with the proper edits.

So, I am working on a Heather chapter and I see an open door for Quinny and Frank to have a discussion about relationships. I wrote a sample page where he asks her why she compared them to a harem anime. Quinny then begins to impress on him that he has three women around him all the time, and is oblivious to it.
This evolved into Frank admitting he has never had a girlfriend, or any girls as friends, and that he came into the world to more or less escape that pressure. Qui...

Gersius met with Gams in private as the two men talked about the bloodshed ahead. The attack by bandersooks only showed that nowhere was safe. They spoke for a few hours before Lilly and Thayle entered the room and approached with a concerned look on their faces. Ayawa was ready to speak, and Lilly and Thayle already heard some of what she had to say.
Gersius nodded and had them brought in with Gedris, who interestingly wore Tavis's hat. Ayawa introduced her, but G...

Heather looked down in a panic, the fear of falling gripping her heart. The pit was so deep her friends and minions vanished from sight, and soon even the sound of their cries were gone. She looked up to see Breanne franticly trying to hold on to her hand as her fingers slipped. She reached up with the other hand and clutched at Breanne, desperate to hold on.
“I can't do this for long. I have to remain spectral to fly but solid enough to hold you,” Breanne groa...

It was two hours past their usual stopping point when the keep finally came into view. Gersius felt relief to know they would soon be safe, and the grumbling could finally end. As they approached the walls, they passed burn piles, where the bandersooks were stacked and set ablaze. Many still smoldered in the evening light, throwing foul plumes of smoke into the air. The scene was a grim reminder of what was coming and how serious its threat. His mind should have been focused on...

Heather considered the possibility that somehow she was Hathlisora and groaned. She decided to avoid thinking about it and turned back to the bridge they now had to cross again. Frank and Legeis were all for trying again, but she looked to the right down the unexplored tunnel.
“Why don't we check the tunnel,” She suggested hoping to avoid the bridge. “If it doesn't go anywhere useful, we will cross the bridge again.”
The others rea...

Hello all, I am sorry to say I am not done with the heather chapter I wanted to release today. I started a new job, and I am working a side job, AND I am in the final application process for a postal job. I spent nearly two hours today filling out online applications that had to be done in the next 24 hours or I would be auto declined. I worked for 8, ran errands for the wife, and then spent six hours working on the side job. Then did the postal application, and it all just took longer than I...

Thayle paced outside the meeting tent tossing her thoughts as she tried to think of a solution. The day's events had been catastrophic, emotionally, and physically. Sarah broke and confessed her feelings, but then Gersius refused to pursue them. They arrived to check on the progress of the second half of the army to find it under siege by bandersooks and a dragon.
The attack sent Gersius into a fit of planning and organization that occupied his mind. All that matte...

“So, this has happened before?” Legeis asked as they huddled on the ledge around Heather's unconscious body. The battle in the water ended when Breanne carried Legeis out of the water to drop bombs on the fighting monsters. The goblin was much lighter, so she had no trouble keeping him aloft. It took a few hits, but both monsters finally stopped moving and floated motionless on the lake.
Heather passed out just after Frank woke up, collapsing at his...

Sarah flew south into the snow-capped mountains going as fast as she dared to avoid forcing them to hold on the whole journey. Her heart was in turmoil, and her glances to the riders on her back frequent. She just admitted that she loved them, though, in truth, she wasn't sure what that meant. All she was sure of was Gersius made her feel things she never felt before. He stirred in her a sense of desire for him and his wives. Lilly made it all harder to resist, her happiness som...
