Final release for today.
I've always been a little unsure about the floors for the rough stone set. I created this alternate set. Let me know what you think. I'll send a short survey later to catch how people feel about these. If enough people like them, I'll go back and create the cuts for wall on tile walls, corners, etc.
Also, this set has both the wall on tile floors, as well as the Separate Wall Primary Floors.

This is going to be a bit of a posting marathon today. The rough stone update was just a ton of files. Today we've got another 140 models filling out the rough stone ruined separate wall set. Historically, only the 2x wide (A) tile had all 9 variations of height for the ruined texture, but with this release, the 1x5 (BA) and 4x (Q) wide got the rest added. You can see the effect above - by having all three able to be any of full, low and minimal, you can create some re...

Next up in the OpenForge "Places of Power" series, we bring you the "Raven's Perch" - an ancient, storm-battered monument depicting the raven, often though of as a bird who could see the future or look through time. Who knows who built this ancient relic, but it has stood the test of time. What secrets does it hold for your tabletop?
This piece is included as a complete version that needs some support for the raven's beak, or a split version that does note require support. Happy printin...

It's been a long time coming, but this month redoing the rough/ruined stone separate wall set finally surfaced to the top of the vote. With this release, I'm also finally splitting rough stone and rough stone ruined into two distinct sets to fit with the direction of the other textures. Today I'm releasing the updates to the rough stone separate wall set. This adds new bases for the walls with the rough stone texture on the outside, but smooth surfaces for the locks on the i...

It's that time of month again. The winning vote last month was for Towne Dungeon Sticks (Set 1). We used the other releases in the month to bang out some other updates to the Towne set: Curved and Windows.
Voting will close out...

Evan recently saw somebody on a 3D printed FB page ask about a roman soldier tent, which reminded him that he had wanted to make simple - yet generic for multi use - "soldier's tent" for a while, so he whipped one up for OpenForge this month.
Nothing too fancy about this tent - obviously it's a bit stylized, but should be fast and easy to print and paint. Can be a canvas tent, fur/leather, or painted to be multi-colored. Full version (top attached) or 2 part with removable top included....

Somehow we've gotten this far without the Towne set having windows, which I think are pretty critical for doing Towne buildings. I'm really happy with how these came out, I think they are super thematic.
The vote this month was for Towne Dungeon Sticks Set 1, Dungeon Sticks are on a real roll. However, Dungeon Stick Set 1 requires windows, and well, the window set was the 3rd highest, so I decided to make this the Towne month. As a side note, Towne Curved was #2.

Since Dropbox has no way to add additional bandwidth, I've moved the highest traffic one to Sync, which offers unlimited downloads. My workflow includes Linux, and Sync has no Linux client, so I'll be leaving OpenForgeDevelopment in there. Dropbox says the link suspension should be lifted after 24 hours. The suspension was at 12:30 (MDT), so the other link should go back to working in about an hour and a half.

So it looks like Dropbox has suspended me for generating too much traffic. It should be back up in a few hours, but I'll also have to create a new Dropbox link.
In the mean time, I'll start working on getting my stuff into sync, which offers "unlimited bandwidth". Until then, please avoid doing a download of everything just so we don't break Dropbox.

While I couldn't find any reference photos of curved walls in actual tudor style buildings from the "era", this is fantasy, right?
Like all the other tudor sets, we have stucco and stone here, with options for full stucco, full stone, and either or for top and bottom. We've also got low tiles, along with a new addition - I'm doing complete tiles where I combine the wall and floor for 2x2 tiles (the most common). If you are a fan of the complete option, let me know, and I'll ...

It's that time of month again. The winning vote last month was for Dungeon Stone Dungeon Sticks (Set 2). This month I added:
- A grate progression for wall on tile, and grates have been added into the tile tree at appropriate points for separate wall and dungeon sticks.
There's a really important question this month related to if people are ready for the project to start chargin...

New from OpenForge, this piece is loosely based on a scenario loosely based on a campaign I'm a player in. It's an overgrown hole in the ground with huge, ancient chains tethered deep to the rock and danging down in the hole to gods-know-what! The chains are as thick as your waist, and don't appear to have moved for centuries, with vines and growth covering them. But as you near the hole a huge gust of wind belches forth, as if something long-forgotten released an waking sigh - and did you ju...

Building on the Grate release from earlier this week, we have grate doors and portcullises. Also, I clearly learned some things about rendering in Blender.
Grab:
Playing one of my favorite CRPGs, Legend of Grimrock (and I loved Eye of the Beholder back in the day), I realized that the dungeon stone set was missing a dungeon classic: Thick grating that the adventurers can't get through, but can tantalizingly see the treasure on the other side. This set has some grate walls, and a grate corner. I've included also the photo of what I used for inspiration for the actual grating. ...

Dungeon sticks have been on a tear lately in the voting. This month, the top voted item was Dungeon Stone Dungeonsticks set 2. With this, we've got a removable door (I did print to test that it slides in and out easily), a curved wall, arrowslits, and the v3 extendable wall.

Last month's winning set was the Cut-Stone Dungeon Stick Set 1. With that, I also the Dungeon Stone Dungeon Sticks to the new V3 standard for Dungeon Sticks. This month I'm starting to try and make it more clear for you all what has changed.

- Tiles that have been completed have been removed and marked on their tile trees: (Dungeon Stone Separa...

I'm starting the process of moving migrating primary walls to be only the straight walls, and for F and G tiles to move into the curved set.
With this as the re-release of curved separate wall tiles, I'm also noting that these cover 2x and 4x radius. I'm doing this because I plan on adding 6x curved and 8x curved (who knows, 10?, 12?) as future options to the tile tree.
Finally, I've created a new tile, VxE, which is the V tile with an E tile removed from it as a notch.

New from OpenForge, the "totally random don't-ask-any-questions" Door to Nowhere! Why is this doorway here in the middle of the woods? Why is the stone destroyed and overgrown but the door itself in perfect condition? What lies on the other side!? Is it a metaphor for the current quarantine or am I just making that up to make it sound like I had a plan for this model? We'll never know..
This should print as 1 piece support free. Also included is a version without the door (which will ne...

This was the top voted item this month. Before taking a swing at Cut-Stone however, I wanted to make sure that Dungeon Stone was updated to the new v3 dungeonstick templates, so I did that yesterday. Today, we get the Cut-Stone edition. Again, these are based on Evan's new dungeon sticks v3 templates, which has a ton of improvements. These are based off a merger of my cut-stone walls, doors and windows with Evan's

This month you all voted for Cut-Stone to get the dungeon stick treatment, but lo and behold, Evan has bumped dungeon sticks up to V3 with a ton of improvements, so I decided to update Dungeon Stone first. I've included all the connectors, which are much improved in this design. Right now these are not compatible with v2 Dungeon Sticks, but a fix for that is on the way.

Last month's vote winner. This release is a backfill for last month. I expect to still have 4 releases for march.
These tiles should make for great use in poor villages and towns that are suffering under the yoke of a cruel lord that your heroes must depose. They should also work well for other outdoor scenes.
Due to printing PPE for hospitals, I can't get tiles printed, so for the moment I'm sticking with renders. As a reminder, we are not charging ...

Hey all, hope you are all healthy. While we are in global crisis, there's going to be a few changes here.
First off, for the time being my printers are going full steam printing masks that have been requested by local hospitals. I'm working with the 3d Printing Colorado facebook group to get 200 masks a week out to hospitals in the area that have requested them. They are aware of the limitations, and can seal the masks, but need lots of people to print the parts for t...

- We've got his Shambler from Depths of the Savage Atoll
- Throne of the Spider Queen from The Skyless Realms
- Stone Golem from The Skyless Realms

Playing off the last release, we've got a set combining pools with dungeon stone. We've got curves, diagonals, single-tile round pools, along with some half-tile pools designed so you can stick to 2x2 tiles but still have pools of any size.
Given the situation in the world, and how many people are suffering from what is transforming not just into a health catastrophe, but also an economic one, we just don't feel right charging people right now. OpenForge will continue, and w...

One of my oldest sets are my pool tiles that I created years ago for my Rise of the Runelords campaign. For years these have been one of my favorite flavor sets, but I have not gone back and given them the OpenForge 2.0 treatment. New from Evan, for all your river-going adventures, is a hide/leather covered canoe. The canoe is - as usual - designed to print 100% supportless, an holds 2 minis with 1" bases (as seen in the render). This is a heavily-detailed model with all the stitching but prints great in FDM or resin, and can be painted really detailed or just a single tan-ish color and hit with a brown wash to get em on the table really quick. Happy boating!
